so i like many fans thought YES YES YES finally they have been building this up since we found out about the original original triangle between klaus and elijah and now history finally served to be right!! i was just about to check the 5/5 stars and then caroline blurted out the BS or elena being sired to DAMON DO YOU WANT US TO IMPLODE!!!!!!! there is no logic for this bulldisnac of a storyline! as a result the episode was fortunate to warrant a 1 star (earnt by wolf girl teaming with shane and tyler being the only clued up character atm)

I couldnt agree more. I think more than the issue of the sire bond, we have been waiting for this moment forever. And to have it marginalised, cheapened to a "its not real" really disappoints me. On top of that, this was Damon's moment. And once again, he will be crushed. I hate it.

Do you guys not understand why they keep this dumb love triangle going and going?! It keeps you guys all watching!! They will keep this up for 4 more seasons if it means they will keep all the millions of teen girls watching and arguing over Delena and Stelena.

Well it did make me mad when they turn the great love affair into more drama between brothers and will Elena hate Damon.. But what about what stefan is doing to her bro.. They make a much better couple Damon & Elena.. Lets not forget Damon already lost Katheen to Stephan..Here we go again..

I was loving this episode until the sire thing came up. I'm very invensted in the Jeremy Vampire Hunter sl, i adored Klaroline, Stephan was dark and edgy (which is very unlike him) and then we get to THE most anticipated part of all 4 seasons. Delena finally getting their chance. They totally ruined it for us. Not so much because it questioned Elena's actual feelings for Damon...i'm very confident that their bond goes beyond a stupid siring. But it made the love scene...wrong... It was supposed to be passionate and romantic and have us all feeling butterflies in our stomachs. But we were just too...shocked and bummed to get in the mood. Anyway...i'm optimistic. Damon's and Elena's first kiss wasn't as amazing as i had expected but their second one rocked my world. So..i'll just wait and see.

The ep wasn't all that bad! Give it a rest people! Sure many things that happened were out of the ordinary and the much-anticipated scenes were delivered in a wrong way(Delena sex) or not at all(Klaroline 3cm apart scene)!!!!! Other than that the big problem is the sire bond! To anyone saying is out of place-Damon in S03e06 reveals that Tyler is sired to Klaus and comments that its rare but obviously not so much on hybrids. This doesn't change the fact that it is a huge Bullshit! Not giving Delena a fair shot is disregarding to the fans.As a twist is entertaining for the triangle but vain b/c everyone is sick of it!
For me,Klaus and Caroline stole eveyone's thunder in this episode! Their scenes amazing- their chemistry irresistable-they look so good together and she is finally starting to crack! I wasn;t expecting anything like that but it was more than pleasant! Even those not very keen on Klaroline after last night's episode started shipping them!

How could you not see that Elena was sire bonded to Damon? It was obvious from the second episode of the season!!! And I guess this happened in the book, and the sire bond twist was too good for the writers to leave out.

Ok this episode sucked majorly!
Funny how Delena fans just dont ever seem to get what they want! Plec must have a death wish pissing off both SE and DE fans! Glad Im neither! Sire thing was never even remotely interesting!
Klaroline for me was the highlight of this episode. Klaus was at his most charming and Caroline was more radiant than ever! I might just end up shipping this but hate to think how mad Klaus will be when he learns they fooled him!
As far as the hunter thing, I might find it interesting if Jeremy loses his shirt lol!! ;)
I just wanna know what Shane is upto and how it relates to Silas! Its ep 7 already, season 3 may have had major flaws but atleast the initial 8-9 eps were action packed.. Im bored this time already!!

Even though I'm a big Stelena fan, I just don't get it. Why can't they drop the triangle from time to time? Why does it ALWAYS come back in our face? I had accepted that Elena would be with Damon for a while, and that maybe Stefan would try to move on. If Elena and Damon never get a chance to explore their feelings, then Stelena can never really be (because there would always be the question of what would have happened if...) But now it's just silly, this sire bond thing, it feels just CHEAP. I used to praise this show because there wasn't too much nonsense with the triangle, but since last year the writers have been constantly bringing it back every other episode.

I was amongst those who was screaming with glee when Damon and Elena started kissing, then totally intrigued by where Caroline was going with her theory, to completely shocked how things were getting so heated between E and D and than completely mad and confused at the revelation that she is sired to him. No matter what - Vampire Diaries never fails to deliver the biggest twists. I did not see it coming. Although I'm sad at the revaluation... I'm curious to see how it pans out! On a brighter note... I'm all in for Klarline! She was having FUN tonight with Klaus like it or not! It's about time Joseph Morgan shows off that charm in more ways than talking! :)

As we all know from all movies/television shows that are based on books, producers never really always go exactly by the book. Like, wasn't Elena blonde in the books? Also, doesn't Damon have a thing for Bonnie in the books? Yea, don't see that happening...Bonnie hates Damon. Point is...anything can happen...so don't go by the books because things can change at anytime!
WHY? Why do the writers hate Damon so much? Why can't they give him a real shot? He stayed in this cursed town to protect Elena, Stefan and everyone they care about, even though technically at the beginning of the Original storyline this whole thing WASN'T HIS PROBLEM. He could have left and lead a blissful life somewhere far away. And now, when he finally gets the girl, it's not real. And he has to live with the fact that he unconsciously made her do something she might not have done if it wasn't for some stupid supernatural freaky thing.
It's just another way to keep the triangle going and I HATE IT.
Honestly, I can't believe this is happening. The scene every Delena fan in the world has been waiting for was brilliantly RUINED. Just when I thought the writers were doing a good job with Elena and Stefan struggling to accept the new reality, they screw me over royally with the most annoying twist EVER.
One more thing - Caroline finally made me angry at her. I don't have a problem with the fact that she's on Stefan's side. He's her friend and I love her for that. And she has every right to hate Damon, I don't blame her, he's far from a saint. But how can the girl who loves Tyler (even though he was such an ass in the past), is friends with Stefan (even though he proved he can be just as big of a monster as Damon), forgave Alaric for killing her dad and somehow manages to be nice to the biggest evil monster in the world - how can Caroline of all people not give Damon some credit for all the good he's done?

I loved this new twist. Sired to Damon? What a cool idea so in the end Elena is still meant to be with Stefan. I love that because in the end Stefan always saves her... he really, really loves her and cant give up because Elena didn't when he was a ripper. Klaroline, I would love to seem them together, they make a great couple and when it comes to Tyler... he is going on my nerves and he is becoming evil in a way. Maybe he should really hook up with his werewolves friend...

@Heather: of course I would. I said it many times - I don't care whom Elena chooses. The problem I have with that "siring" is that there never ever was any mentioning of a vampire being sired to another vampire before. It was all about hybrids! They just want to keep the annoying triangle alive.

Everything was going great until caroline figured the mystery out. My problem isn't with the whole damon/elena sire thing....the only thing that would make this horrible is if Damon actually knew about it. If he knows about Elena being sired to him then there will never be any hope for delena. She will never forgive him. BUT if he doesn't know, then its not his fault and Elena has no reason to be mad. Producers please don't screw this up!!! Go team delena!!! PS...its sad that vampire sex on a tv show was WAY better than vampire sex on a major motion picture (twilight) lol
Damon: She's strong and crafty and you'll die. Elena: At least I'll die trying.
