Ok cue embarrassment! I ducked to the little girls room for 30 seconds and missed the Douglas Adams reference. I only caught it just now when I rewatched this ep. I must say though that, whilst I enjoyed this ep, the funny was slightly lacking so I hope they lift the laughs soon!

I need to ask a question: What's wrong with Big Bang this year??? It seems lost...a major change since last year! Has something changed with cast or crew or writers or what???

Anyone have a clue???

I am in the minority for I thought Sheldon's story line was the weaker of the two. It was out of character; he acknowledged one of his "limitations" in a much different way than usual. It appears that he has been changing over the past few weeks. The writers are taking us someplace new or have lost a little. As for Leonard and Penny - excellent. Penny and Leonard are a much better couple than the assistant would be. The oil and vinegar that is L & P is great. No Amy? She was an excellent foil at the outset but is getting on my nerves.

It's not the alien eating his face, Sheldon just thinks he's a chicken pecking for corn. Ha!!

Also, how come Sheldon didn't know what a hicky was a couple of episodes ago, but all of a sudden he knows about 'a chicken pecking for corn'? Someone has been reading up when he wasn't doing the HackeySack.

Of course Sheldon's assistant is a better match for Leonard --logically-- but I've yet to see one guy go for the smart, logical choice when there is a 'Penny' around. I'd like to see Sheldon's assistant take up with the comic store owner.

Well said, Ann. I found that scene to be a great insight into who Sheldon is. It was touching without being heavy-handed. Thanks for pointing it out.

The worm hole fake-out was pretty darn funny. My problem now is, after waiting all this time for Penny to drop the L word, I'm starting to thinkSsheldon's assistant is a better match for Leonard. Why are life and sitcoms always so complicated?

What I liked is that Loenard was jealous because he tought Penny was getting hit on, and yet he was completely unaware he was being hit on himself. makes you think he was proabbly right, and Penny is as clueless as he is.

@Alihan Raj and Howard did throw the Douglas Adams theory out there when brainstorming.
