NCIS Episode Preview: Shell Shocked
After an emotional NCIS episode last week, the show is off tomorrow night due to U.S. presidential election coverage. Perhaps appropriately, its return next Tuesday is the first of two episodes devoted to PTSD!
When a Navy Lieutenant who recently returned home from the Middle East is found dead from a brutal attack, the NCIS team questions the victim's friend, Marine Captain Joe Wescott (guest star Brad Beyer).
Gibbs realizes the Captain is suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder, but knows his experience overseas may also provide a key link to the crime, in part one of "Shell Shock," a two-part episode.

Ziva: I went to Israel to bury my father. It was a moment of weakness. I felt alone. Tony: You need to talk to legal. Ziva: No I don't. Tony: My Hebrew must ...

Stupid me. When GG and Co. revealed that they were going to "address the PTSD issue," I naturally assumed that it would be related to that big, fat explosion that took out half the building, especially since their announcement came on the heels of this season's opening episode. I'm a little disappointed.

@Katmandu - Guess we'll have to wait and see, but the writers have yet to tease a moment about something like Tony's curiosity being "peaked" by something Ziva does without it turning into a na na na boo boo - Ziva's got a secret and ha ha - Tony humiliating himself throughout the episode to find out. Course Ziva will likely come out smelling (or as another poster says, smirking) like a rose. We'll see.

I, for one, can't wait. I will reserve judgement on Tiva until I see where they're going with it. NCIS writers and showrunners have yet to disappoint. It's been more than 9 years of goodness.

If a few of u hate Ziva and Tony so much...stop watching. Simple concept? There's a reason why shows don't run for 25 years. Only so much u can do on a topic ya know? :)

You are so right remember last november sweep just seem like GG has fail at his job of fixing Tony and want to Piss off the NCIS fans even more then the last guy who had his job.I just miss the good ol day of NCIS when it was a team show before it became all about Tiva.

@dejavu, what the spoiler actually said was that Tonys curiosity would be peaked as Ziva makes special plans for the opera. Nothing about jealous, humiliated Tony. I speculate this has more to do with Ziva sharing with Tony about Tali, perhaps the opera was a favorite of the sisters. GG says we will be getting "awww" moments between T/Z as he shares about his mom & she shares about her sister; all about bringing them closer in this season of Tiva. Maybe you should actually see the episode before you bash it.

There is always loads of promotion for the two parters, which always feature Gibbs or Ziva. Apparently from a spoiler I've read, in the second part of this Gibbs two parter, we'll be getting humiliated, jealous Tony, who is obsessed with Ziva's plans to attend an opera. Wow, something new and different - smug superior Ziva, in the know with clueless jealous Tony tripping all over himself to find out. Original.

There's been a lot of talk about this one. Here's hoping both parts are good and strong.
