This is like so duh! Of course they were going to cancel it esp after Kate Walsh decided to leave. I think it has run its course. Some shows can run on for a while but private practice has run its course. Shonda must just get Audra and Stephen Collins back for the finale.

@Catherine: Amelia had good chemistry with Lexie until, you know, she was killed.

@Jarrod Mitchell: I hope too that the characters have a happy ending. I would miss them but as you and Caitlyn say, it is not possible to include too much characters of PP in GA. I too love the character of Amelia. I find PP much more interesting since she appeared. Maybe you’re right, she’s to close of Addison that she knew already as a child to have a real relationship with Meredith. I would nevertheless be interested in an attempt between them. Effectively, it’s difficult to imagine if Amelia could have her place in GA and chemistry with the other members of the cast.

@Caitlyn: I'm glad that there is another PP fan out there who agrees with me 100% on that. I would also love to see Audra come back to play Naomi for the remainder of 3 episodes at least. Not to mention, I'd like to see Maya and baby Olivia come back. Maya was last seen in the season 3 finale and she became irrelevant afterwards.

@Jarrod I agree completely! They have all the time to make sure that characters get their good endings. Maybe even bring Naomi back for the last few episodes or something. For me, even though GA can tie up some loose ends, I'd want a good ending clearly made in the series finale. All the characters have gone through enough and as an audience, we shouldn't be given an ending consisting of a cliff-hanger or anything of the like. Make it a great end that shows the characters in a good place while highlighting how much they've grown over the course of the series.

@Caitlyn: I'm with you; if they were to make Addison leave, I would be extremely disappointed in the writers. The writers have been given notice and have had time to plan out a decent ending for Addison and with the mutual agreement made by Shonda and ABC to end it, they've got a real chance at ending this show on a happy note without any cliffhangers or open-ended storylines. Yes, they have GA, but GA can only extend to certain characters in PP. Besides, PP finale isn't meant to air till February next year, so they have plenty of time to write it, bring back characters and film it to the best they be!

I'm definitely sad about it. I was hopeful that they'd at least get the extra 9 episodes and have a complete season. Based on what Jarrod said, I really hope that the last few episodes they're writing really give the characters a good end. Since the show ends when Kate Walsh leaves, I hope they don't make the character of Addison leave or anything as well. For the finale, I'd like to see an epilogue of sorts for the characters. Just so we know that they got their "Happily ever after"s. And if we don't get to see Charlotte and Cooper's babies I'll flip out!

@Catherine: I adore the relationship between Addison and Amelia; their relationship was a reason for me to tune in to the past few seasons of PP. I feel like a relationship between Meredith and Amelia would be too forced. In season 7, they barely spoke when they were introduced, but I'm all for them both giving it a try. My main reason for Caterina Scorsone to move to GA is because I absolutely love Amelia's character since she appeared in season 3 and if anyone can work the camera and writing, it is her. However, I feel like the writing dynamic of PP is COMPLETELY different to GA and moving such a character could possibly ruin her and the material she has been given and could have been given in future season of PP if it had continued.

@ Jarrod Michell: Like you, I would like more interaction between Derek, Amelia, the other sister and Meredith. I think too that it's a lot to do with the relation Derek - Amelia, because they are very similar, as the two sides of the same coin! Hopefully they develop a friendship between Amelia and Meredith, even if I like the sisterly relationship the first has with Addison. Both Meredith and Amelia had been through a lot ultimately and faced the death and could help another, like the way Lexie helped Amelia not to think about drug in the GA-crossover with the surgery of Callie.

@Catherine: I think if Shonda were to kill off anymore characters in GA or PP this year that she is actually insane. She did confirm that Addison would not be killed off and that Kate Walsh is more than welcome to come back to Grey's Anatomy for a guest appearance and that Kate Walsh herself would be open to it. I hope Sam doesn't come to GA, seeing as he's completely pissed me off these past few seasons on PP. Hopefully Amelia does come to Seattle, because I'd love to see another sibling relationship happen on screen seeing as Lexie being killed off last season completely destroyed the bond and potential storylines between Meredith and herself. Not to mention, there is always room for improvement between Derek and Amelia, especially with a new sister being introduced on GA this season.

I hope too that Amelia, Sam and Addison will be mentioned or come sometimes in GA because they are connected with Derek. Addison is also a friend of Callie and Miranda. Like Jarrod Mitchell, I would want to see Amelia in GA as a recurrent character, but not with Alex. I want that her relation with Sheldon takes more importance. It will be more difficult to link with the others, unless they need a surgery, as we see in the last cross-over with Charlotte, Cooper and Mason. I only hope Shonda won’t take the facile solution to kill again characters. She already made that too often… I hope she’ll be as creative as she claims.

I could have lived with it getting a back-order of 9 episodes to complete the story for the rest of the cast, while Kate Walsh came back for a double episode finale (with her absence being she was traveling for a while). Overall, I am glad the show has decided to end now seeing as the writers have just started filming episode 9 and have begun writing episodes 11 and 12. Hopefully they'll get an extended time for episode 13 in order to complete everything. Hopefully we get a small time jump (to keep up with the GA timeline) but to see Charlotte give birth and to see all the characters living happy. I foresee Amelia moving to GA, but that's about it for the cast on PP and moving on over. Perhaps Amelia and Alex could be a thing?
Addison: Then slowly, over time, everything changes. And you're no longer this young thing, and you don't believe in fairytales and "perfect" isn't in your v...
