Hart of Dixie Review: Revenge in Bluebell?

by at . Comments

"Always on My Mind" was probably one of the funniest Hart of Dixie episodes to date. I don't remember the last time I laughed this hard at the show. It was fun, hilarious and definitely entertaining. Very well done overall.

When the gour started we saw that Zoe and Wade were at it again... well actually, they were just finishing. As much as Zoe won't admit it, she likes her little fling with Wade. Let's all be honest, who wouldn't? Wade Kinsella is one good looking country boy. Wade was right when he said she was addicted.

Ready for BlueBellapalooza

Throughout this episode the theme seemed to be being the best version of yourself. Lavon was happier around Ruby and vice versa, Rose was trying to make herself content by throwing the BlueBellapalooza, Zoe was attempting to NOT have sex with Wade, George was trying to move on, Brick has a new girlfriend, Lemon was hoping to find herself, and Wade was, well... Wade.

Everyone had something to do and had their own little storyline in the episode and that was my favorite part. Everyone mattered.

Let's start with Zoe and Wade. Their storyline is becoming more and more interesting to me. First they can't stop having sex and so Wade bets Zoe they'll hook up within the next 48 hours, but unfortunately for Wade, they didn't. The tension between both of them tonight was the best it has been all series and I honestly felt their connection. I believed it and now I want more.

Poor George. He was finally doing so well with the new girl and was in high hopes of moving on, but Lemon unintentionally ruined it. I enjoyed seeing George, after everything, still going over to Lemon to make sure that she was okay and then she actually smiled. Lemon grows more and more each episode. All she wants to do is prove to her daddy that she could make it on her own and that is why she is my favorite. Yes, Lemon Breeland is my favorite. Just wait, you'll see it eventually.

When I was talking to Tim Matheson, I asked him if Brick was going to let Lemon go and allow her learn how to be on her own and he said that Brick was going to have a hard time with that. Obviously, he is. He tried a numerous amount of times tonight to convince Lemon to work for him. I think we all were saying that it's time to get let fly, Brick. Lemon is in her 30's. It's sweet to see him holding on but it's also selfish and pathetic. But Lemon needs to learn how to be her own person.

Moving onto Ruby. Let me just say, I love her. I knew it was going to be her running against Lavon! How perfect is this? The current mayor up against his old flame whose heart he broke. Can we all agree that Revenge has moved to Bluebell, Alabama! This is definitely going to make things interesting. Cress Williams recently said that "sparks will fly" between Lavon and Ruby and since she will be his competition, does this mean that the sparks aren't so nice? I have no idea but I look forward to finding out.

In the end Zoe still doesn't know who she wants to be with. You have sweet and innocent George who all of the sudden has amazing singing skills. Then you have Wade, who doesn't like to wear shirts and works at the Rammer Jammer. They are both complete opposites and it makes for good television. I hope that from here on out their love triangle doesn't get cheesy; it has some really good potential.

It's nice to see Hart of Dixie go towards a lighter side and have much more comedy than the first season. Tonight's episode was definitely one of the best yet. They have a good set up started and I'm ready to see where it all goes. Also, give us more Rose, I find her so charming and adorable.

Next week it looks like a new illness will be going around Bluebell and will everyone blame Zoe Hart? Probably!

Hart of Dixie was about the only show left on television that had decent writers with a storyline that didn't have to include sleeping around. This season I am about ready to stop watching altogether. You have turned Zoe into a tramp and she looks it. Can't writers come up with interesting as well as decent stories anymore?? It says a lot about today's writers. I used to like Zoe...could take or leave Wade...still like George and beginning to like Lemon the best...strange turn of events. You need to clean up your show or you're going to lose a lot of viewers. It's becoming boring and predictable as well as just plain trashy just like so many other shows on television.

The show is very inconsistent. The show started off with scenes of W and Z bantering back/forth (majority of audience fell in love with them)... finally W got the courage to ask Z out... unknown reasons the show went in another direction without closure. The second half (the season), Z went PSYCHO over George who was engaged -throwing her friends under the bus etc., (Gossip Girl playbook). It's season 2 and she still can't make a decision (this is pissing people off). Based on what I see so far we are going in the same direction... Z and W the first half (this season) and Z and G the second half (Gossip Girl playbook). Lelia is going to lose her show if she does gain control of it... She should have added a new character along time ago. Iam curious to know what her motivates are.. nothing makes sense. This a total mess.

JOJO ...that funny because alot of people feel that way about George.

And Iam sorry but I don't get the appeal over George, but that's my prefer. Liah- Iam Team Wade... We not looking for Gossip Girl here...the show is at times very inconsistent ...even the critcs have pointed that out. My main problem with last season was how Zoey constantly pursued an engaged man... this is the crap you see on Gossip Girl... we objected to this - morally wrong. She's in New Orleans willing to sleep with a man who was on a rebound...we objected...no boby want to see that crap. To it off, she bragging about having 2 boyfriends at the expense of another woman's humiliation and embarrassing. This is the Gossip Girl crap which we have been OBJECTING to.

Just wanted to chime in and let everyone know there are some Zoe/George fans out there!

I'm sorry but I just don't get Wade's appeal, at all. Okay so he has abs but so does every Tom, Dick and Harry on television! I actually liked his brother, I hope we see more of him!

I love this show! I live in Australia yet I can't wait for the next episode of Hart of Dixie. Personally I love both Wade and George, both of them bring something very valuable to the show.
Am actually pretty annoyed with all the comments about Leila and her script writing. I'm not really bothered how she writes because, she did a great job inventing Hart of Dixie. No one knows her personally and no one knows that she is biased!!!!!
I just think that people are pissed that Zoe/Wade haven't got together. Look at other shows, Gossip Girl, greys anatomy, the characters didn't fall head over heels in one episode......give it time and stop picking on the show writers. Let THEM do their jobs.....

Love triangles are GREAT when they are well written/good plays - I think we all know Wade/Bethel WON the girl a long time ago ... Zoey and Wade were SO great together. The critic LOVED Bethel. I don't understand why Lalia kept pushing this triangle - the show should have come up with a new hook a long time ago or added a new character. Lalia kept feeding into how PERFECT George is (never showed any of his flaws) and people fell for that. On the other hand she wanted you to know how much Wade was screw up and people believed it. She is too bias and I know it's her show but it's my time. Wade and Zoey were popular and liked (check out the pics on Youtube. One pic alone had over 2 million views). The minority of us LOVED their story/ we wanted more of them - Instead Lalia turned their time together into something UGLY/DEMEANING.
