think about it, he said he lived right up park avenue, and how can you be a new yorker without hearing and reading about 1. chuck bass, 2. blair waldorf-grimaldi as she pretty much was a kate middleton in the gg-universe and 3. of course it-girl SVDW.
either he was lying about saying he didn't know her (who'd stay with a chick that for months has been pretending to be an entirely different person anyway, he doesn't even really know her anymore, though I guess she has two good arguments resting on her ripcage) or this is a really huge stretch and bad writing.

I just read on E! that a fan favorite couple that hasnt been together for some time is getting back together in response to a dan and blair question so I'm going to jump tn the conclusion that its dan and serena especially after the pics of the two on a vespa dan and serena and chuck and blair ftw

@Eric, I actually like your idea about D slapping B! Then certain fans can keep quiet from accusing Chuck as a violent person and stop whining to the producers how on earth would they make B choose C when the world are campaigning for anti violence
