NCIS Season Premiere Spoilers: 10 Things to Watch For!

by at . Comments

The NCIS Season 10 premiere doesn't air on CBS for another two weeks (9/25), but TV Fanatic was fortunate to get its virtual hands on it already, and we can assure you it will be worth the wait.

It's difficult for any season premiere to live up to a summer's worth of hype, especially following a cliffhanger of this magnitude, but by and large, "Extreme Prejudice" comes pretty close.

NOTE: Minor spoilers ahead! While we don't reveal plot points or details that we think would take away from anyone's enjoyment of the episode, you still might want to turn back now.

Without giving away too much, here are 10 things to expect in the premiere ...

Extreme Prejudice Pic

1. The title refers to a euphemism for execution. Playing on the "termination with prejudice" clause used in employment contracts, in military parlance it is understood as an order to assassinate; this is exactly how the President orders the SecNav and NCIS to proceed with the Harper Dearing case.

2. We pick up May 15, 2012, the day of the Season 9 finale, and end on September 25.

3. One of the agents in the building during the blast is light-headed and requires stitches.

4. One of the agents is described as "ripe"; Another is uncharacteristically despondent.

5. Fornell and the FBI offer to take the reins of the investigation from an emotional Gibbs.

6. The elusive Dearing is responsible for two more explosions during the episode.

7. Tony and Ziva's elevator scene(s) don't disappoint. That's all we can say.

8. Post-heart attack, Ducky names Palmer acting medical examiner, but the old man plays a key role later in the episode (the scenes between Jimmy and a hospitalized Ducky are pretty special).

9. Gibbs is seen measuring his basement for reasons unknown.

10. After being flummoxed by his adversary's games, Gibbs hatches a plan to stop Dearing once and for all that Vance reluctantly approves, and leaves the rest of the team gravely concerned.

That's all for now. Follow this link for the first footage from NCIS Season 10 if you haven't seen it, then leave a comment below with your predictions and thoughts on the upcoming premiere!

Getting fed up waiting for series 10 to even start here .....

I no longer watch NCIS, after having been a devoted fan since the 2nd season, because of the Abbey actress' support for the worst president in US history and his orangutan of a wife.

Hi,i'm new to this forum so please bear with me. I just want to say what a childish reason to stop watching a great show. Does this mean that if a friend says something you don't agree with then they are no longer your friend. In real life, people are entitled to their own opinions so what is wrong with carrying this over into a script. I,for one, will continue to watch one of the best shows on television because it entertains and at the end of the day,is that not what it's for!.

Thanks to the introduction of politics to NCIS in the September 25th opener, you will not find me watching the show again. I've enjoyed it for 9 years, and it is the only show I watch regularly, but now it is ruined. I can no longer view the show in the same light.

@Kathy Reed. I agree with Cobra. Grow up for crying out loud. Down here in Australia we love NCIS and we love the honesty about it. Some of that honesty is disagreeing with your Prez. Your Bill Of Rights guarantees Freedom of Speech doesn't it? So why can't that freedom be applied to "Abby" if you want realism in the show or do you want Republic sugar coating. In Australai we have an atheist female, with a defacto husband as our Prime Minister, she was elected because she can do the job. A lady like her would never be elected in the USA

I am from Ohio and watched your show every day. Then you actor "Abby" made a comment about being a fan of mrs. obama. I support our military in every way I can, and loved this show. I no longer watch it because of her remark. It is sad when a common television show has to play politics instead of being something people should enjoy without all of the associated problems.
Shame on oboma and his burning people's houses down when he doesn't get his way.

'Disappointing' is mostly what can be said for this first season 10 episode. The plot and subplots were not written correctly to properly depict and showcase the backgrounds of the regular characters. Ziva should have been stressed to the point of reverting to her previous assassin mode. She's a stone cold killer from youth, and would revert to that stalking mode coming out of the bombinb done to her and team. I saw her slipping away on her own to hunt for this Dearing character, then coldly kill him at first opportunity. Jethro would be the same way, only stalking from a distance sniping wise. Tony should have become her backup. McGee in super-nerd role, providing up-to-the-second location info on Dearing. just implacably run him to ground and Ziva and Gibbs both in on the kill.

@kelly f
GROW UP LITTLE GIRL. Sheesh The very first episode of the entire series had G.W. Bush in it, and nobody had a hissy fit over that. Glad you are going away. You weren't a true fan anyway.

@Michael I do think that Gibbs will retire when the series ends.

The elevator scene didn't disappoint? As much as I love NCIS, I thought this episode was very lame.

NCIS Quotes

McGee: All right. Well you should probably know that Abby and I used to date?
Bishop: Ew. Like, each other?
McGee: Yeah.
Bishop: Wait - isn't that a violation of rule 12, never date a....
McGee: It was a long time ago. After we'd broken up, one night I went to her lab. Found a scribbled piece paper; a list. Potential boyfriends had to fulfill certain conditions by a pre-arranged date or else, goodbye.
Bishop: Such as.
McGee: Things started off relatively normal: opening the door for her, flowers, putting the seat down. Then around number 8, it gets uh...
Bishop: What?
McGee: Does she know you have these?
Bishop: Does she know you have these?
McGee: Yeah she wasn't happy when she found out.
Bishop: These are all very specific.
McGee: Yeah.
Bishop: These ideas apply to you?
McGee: No those rules weren't in place when we were together. At least I don't think so.
Bishop: What's with the two month cutoff? Abby's sabotaging herself. I've seen stuff like this before. We have to talk to her.

Tony: You know the "Men" in "Men's Room" is more of a rule than a suggestion, probie.
Bishop: Look, you two always get to go off giggling to the urinal together and I always get left out. So we're going to talk and we're going to do it here.
