Joss Whedon to Pen S.H.I.E.L.D Pilot for ABC
We have an update on the Joss Whedon project headed for ABC.
Deadline confirms that the Buffy the Vampire Slayer creator will pen the pilot for a series based on S.H.I.E.L.D, the Marvel law enforcement agency headed up by Nick Fury.
Standing for Strategic Hazard Intervention Espionage Logistics Directorate, S.H.I.E.L.D recruits the comic's top superheroes to help save our planet. It was featured prominently in Whedon's The Avengers.
Whedon will likely direct the S.H.I.E.L.D pilot, which marks the first-ever live action series based on the Marvel universe.
Expect many more details to come out in the coming weeks and months and for the Internet to pretty much explode with this news.

excited does not even come CLOSE to how this makes me feel:):):):) Anyone else and i'd probably be all kinds of annoyed, but if he's gonna do it then i'm SO IN!!!!!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't there a live-action Hulk series many years ago making that the first live-action series in the Marvel universe?
It could be I'm remembering incorrectly, but I thought there was a series...

Interesting! Hope they make the best of it! introduce them in a darker light with some new and old characters.
