John Carroll Lynch Departs Body of Proof in Mass Exodus, Joins Do No Harm
John Carroll Lynch will not return to Body of Proof next season, as TV Line reports ABC has chosen not to pick up his contract option.
But the actor has already landed on his dramatic feet.
Lynch, who played Bud Norris since the Body of Proof premiere, will join NBC's Do No Harm as a series regular, following his already-filmed guest-starring role on that new show's pilot.
Do No Harm is a take-off on Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. It stars Steven Pasquale as a paramedic who must wrestle with a neurosurgeon alter-ego.

UPDATE: Neither Nicholas Bishop nor Sonja Sohn will return to Body of Proof either for season three.

Yes, Loosing Peter, Bud and Sam really tears the show apart. Just add the new pair to the cast and go from there. This new way I doubt it will last. Also Megan's BF leave too? And her ex?

I agree wth one of the previous comments. Cast changes in a good show like this one does seem to the cancellation of that show. I will at least watch the 3rd season premier to check out the new cast changes. I hope the cast changes will be ok withy the rest of its viewers.

If Peter is notreturning, there seems lttle point in bring the show back. As I was always under the impression that he was Megan's wing man. The should have just cancelled it and have done with it. This sort of major change in casting rarely leads to anything but cancellation!

Why aren't they returning, I loved Bud and his partner. And Nicholas isn't returning, WTF? I always hoped his character Peter would finally start dating Dr. Hunt. There was great chemistry between all those actors.
