The Finder Review: Find Your Way

A recovered forgery, a father's dying wish and an Uncle's irreversible decision.

It's official: after only thirteen episode, we say goodbye to The Finder for good with this episode. The positive news is "The Boy With the Bucket" certainly made it worth while.

Walter Visits His Father

This was hands down my favorite episode of The Finder. It's a real shame that it was the last. After Fox released a list of its renewals, the world found out that this freshman show wasn't one of them.

Then it delivered a hard-hitting and emotional episode. The kind it could have been delivering every week.

Not only did we meet Walter's brother, but we learned about Walter's strained relationship with his father that stemmed from his brain injury. In the end, though, they found their way back to each other.

It would have been nice if his dad had just said he wanted to see him.

The fallout from Walter's search for his mother landed him in federal jail and Isabel lost her badge. That could have been avoided had Walter's father just been honest. I can't believe we'll never get to find out what happens next!

It was great to see Annette O'Toole back on the small screen. I know I haven't seen her anywhere that I can remember since the end of Smallville's decade run on the CW.

The same goes for Willa and Timo's story. Uncle Shad made it official, even starting sending out the invitations. It was really important to me that we find out what was so important about Willa and Timo getting married. Apparently it's because Willa is a good liar. Made you feel bad for Timo in a way. Even so, Willa struck out on her own. Where to, we'll never know.

Were you satisfied with The Finder's conclusion? Are you as saddened as I am that it won't be coming back?

I agree with all the comments above.....this was an excellent show. I cared about the characters and it was funny and quirky. GREAT ACTORS! I'm tired of all the serial killers and ugliness on TV. This was really terrific. I don't think it was well advertised. I didn't watch FOX a lot at that time so, how do you get people to watch your network if they don't currently??? I would have watched this show. I didn't find it til Netflix. Such a shame!

I just finished The Finder on Netflix and was extremely disappointed that it was canceled. It was one of my favorite shows in recent memory...an air of mystery, quirky and great characters. I especially liked the part on pretty much every episode where they argued over the chalk board. Made you think. Oh well, I guess I get to see how many more "reality" shows can be put on TV that I will refuse to watch. Can't wait for that horse to die.

What a shame. The Finder was my favorite show - EVER! The characters were all interesting, it was well-written, the comedy was great and I looked forward to it. I loved Michael Clarke Duncan but I agree that, with a little creativity, they could have worked it out - not to replace him because I think he's one of a kind, but adapt the show with a new character. It was worth saving. What is wrong with you Fox?

why did you cancel The Finder? It was one of my families favorite shows, and something we could all watch. Fox you should be ashamed of yourself for letting crao stay on the air and canceling great shows. Disgusted and disappointed!

The Finder was one of my favorite new shows last season. I will miss the wit and comic timing of all the actors. Too bad that Fox didn't recognize quality and give this show a chance.

My hubbie and I loved Finder because it was different for once!! The normal old FBI CSI Cop stuff is wearing thin, such a disaster losing Michael but they could have created a story around the others. Where the hell is the imagination of the average tv producers and writers?????!!!!!
Bummer cancelling it, please think again...

Although the passing of Micheal Duncan Clarke would leave a huge hole in the show, creative writers could've done it. Shame on FOX for canceling such a great show and leaving so many viewers hanging.
I for one couldn't wait to catch up on my TiVo'd "Finder".

I firmly believe...the decision makers are simply guessing & winging it. They're cancelling "The Finder" is clear proof. The show IS funny AND smart. The plots were JUST starting to develop. At this point, they can even work in MDC's passing into the Willa situation...but hey, WHAT DO THE VIEWERS KNOW?...Right?
Realize, you've just given viewers ANOTHER reason to change the channel. DUH...

I think it is such a dissapointment that the people who get to say yes and no to which shows to keep are obviously morons they should bring back the finder and cancel all those reality shows.
