NBC Picks Up New Shows from J.J. Abrams, Ryan Murphy

NBC is making next Monday's Upfront in New York City a bit anticlimactic.

NBC Peacock

Not long after the network gave the green light to Anne Heche and Save Me, picking that religious-based sitcom up for the 2012-2103 season, it has also announced the following pick-ups:

  • Revolution, a drama produced by J.J. Abrams that will star David Lyons, Billy Burke and Giancarlo Esposito and center around a group of survivors who reside in a world without electricity.
  • The New Normal, a comedy from Ryan Murphy (Glee, American Horror Story) that focuses on a gay couple and its surrogate. It will star Andrew Rannells and Justin Bartha.

Which of these new shows has you most excited?

None are exciting, but I *might* check out Revolution just because it's J.J. Abrams and Giancarlo Esposito.
