USA Network’s newest summer hit Common Law delivered another solid episode  this week with "Ride-Along."

Dr. Ryan joined Wes and Travis on their latest case to observe their relationship with one another in the workplace and likely learned more than she bargained for.

Wes and Travis are quickly becoming this reviewer’s favorite bromance this summer. I think the realization hit me somewhere between the shooting range and Wes’ astute decision to buy a car with hot/cold cup holders!

This week they investigated the twists and turns of an apparent suicide that quickly turned into a much more complicated case of a cheating spouse in too deep with a gun runner.

In the meantime, Wes and Travis had a little extra company in Dr. Ryan, who makes it her policy to follow the new couple in her therapy group during a normal day, which for our duo is on the beat with the LAPD.

As much as they tried to keep Dr. Ryan out of the loop on multiple occasions, she managed to keep up with them, from following them to a crime scene to being comfortable with cadavers, she proved herself quite the formidable third-wheel.

Even so, it seems that even Dr. Ryan has some relationship issues of her own when it comes to the son of her current boyfriend who is in that rebellious adolescent phase of his life.

 I like that we’re quickly figuring out that there are relationships even Dr. Ryan can’t perfectly handle. It will definitely add an interesting element to the show as it continues to unfold.

Speaking of unfolding, here’s what we learned about Wes and Travis this week:

• One of Travis’s foster moms, Margie, works at TSA and makes the best Tamales
• Wes and his ex-wife’s names were both on the lease to the car that got totaled during the pilot last week.
• Wes and his ex-wife used to visit the hotel they got stranded at near the airport during their honeymoon frequently after they got married.

This show just keeps getting better!
