The Good Wife Season 4: What's Ahead?

at . Comments

The Good Wife wrapped up season three this week with a number of pressing questions:

What will happen when Kalinda's husband opens that door? How many employees will Will and Diane be forced to let go? Did Alicia go back for that slice of pizza? Will we ever see Matthew Perry as Mike Kresteva again?

Kalinda Makes a Dent

In a wide-ranging interview with Entertainment Weekly, Good Wife creators Robert and Michelle King tackle these topics. Among the key takeaways:

  • Yes, we will meet Kalinda's (still uncast) husband in what is intended to be a "long arc," says Robert. "This is something we really want to see — Kalinda’s past life colliding with her newly firmed up friendship with Alicia."
  • About Alicia, add Robert... "I would say that Alicia is a little caught between whether to be Hillary Clinton - meaning a woman who will make all the right efforts to get her husband elected because she believes in what he believes in - and someone who isn’t sure whether what’s best for the kids is that she stay removed from the house."
  • Peter's on-record admission that he and Alicia are separated will cause major problems.
  • Robert says the duo really wants to feature Perry again in season four, and were aware of his potential NBC pilot when they cast him.
  • Martha Plimpton and Michael J. Fox will be back as Patti Nyholm and Louis Canning, respectively.

In intriguing conclusion, Robert teased of the firm's financial woes:

"There’s gonna be a new element brought in at the beginning of the year that will have a circling the wagon effect, but we’d like to leave that a surprise."

I just watched then ending of season 4 and I think it sucks! It appears as though it will be the same ol, with Peter always coming out on top and Alicia (though she has always been my favorite) running from Will yet again.
Next season will be more of the same. Will does right by her and and she is going to join Carey and ruin that firm. Dont like this and most likley will not watch the nesxt season. Anyone else agree?

Did Season 4 of Good Wife already end?

how many episodes are in series 4 please

It's seems it's okay for alicia/will to have an affair but what peter did was totally unforgiveable. Wake up people Will is not the one for Alicia. Why do you think she told David Lee to stop her divorce procedure. She realize what she was doing was wrong and her family was important to her. She and Peter can forgive each other and work on their marriage. Don't feel sorry for Will, he already has his eyes on Laura.

i want to see more Peter with Alicia ! hope they have happy ending ^^

Can't wait till the end when the florick family is whole again, and the firm goes under.

Why is everybody talking about family values, trust me, that is not what makes this show good.its about the characters, how can some people say Will is no good on the show, trust we can do without peter on the show. But Will, Kalinda, Diana, Eli,David lee, Alicia makes the show thick. W/A =kool but not compulosry and I miss them from season 2&3, P/A with those annoying kids= Boring.

This will never happen a Alicia/Will get together there is to much at steak she will lose family wise and Willy boy isn't interested in a long term relationship its not his style.

I think that Will really does love Alicia. When you look back at season one and two it's pretty clear that he will always love her. At first in season one I hated Will, he always seemed so seedy, but now that's different. As much as I don't want it to, I think that in the end she will either end up with Peter or the writers will MAYBE do something like what they did with the end of Gilmore Girls and just give the Will/Alicia relationship 'hope'. But they will probably choose Peter, they said in an interview how they didn't like the fact that the show no longer matched the title, but really I think everybody should just get over that. Characters evolve, that is the whole point of a TV show, to show their journey.
But sadly I don't think Will/Alicia fans will be very happy. AND I am also kind over this boring political stuff, it is good when there are major power plays and backstabbing but otherwise it puts me to sleep.

I don't think they do.

It's hard to be on this side.

Diane: Do you believe her?
Will: I believe a lot of things I can't prove.
