New Girl and Glee: Renewed By Fox!

Having already green-lit an eighth season of Bones this month, Fox made a lot more viewers happy today, ordering a fourth season of Glee, a second season of New Girl and a third season of Raising Hope.

The moves keep the network's Tuesday lineup more or less intact.

“Over the past season, New Girl has become the hottest new appointment series for young adults; Raising Hope has established itself as one of the smartest and most unique offbeat comedies on television; and Glee has continued its success as a genre-defying, global cultural phenomenon,” said Fox president Kevin Reilly.

“All three of these comedies add a fresh and distinctive flavor to Fox's Tuesday night lineup, and I’m really happy to bring them back to our air next season.”

Still no word on the fate of bubble shows like Fringe, Touch, Alcatraz, Breaking In and The Finder, which just saw its audience cut in half after moving to Fridays. Which of those do you think should be renewed?

Friday is a death slot. ANY highly rated show would fair worse on Friday. Question is how many are recording it and watching later. Shows to save are Fringe, Alcatraz, Breaking In and Touch. Particularly Fringe. It amazes me how John Noble hasn't been nominated for Best Supporting Actor in a Drama series in both the Emmys and Golden Globes. He is brilliant with the emotional range needed for that character.

    Keep Alcatraz and The Finder
