Things are about to get even hotter in Hawaii.

Michelle Borth, who has recurred on Hawaii Five-0 as Lt. Catherine Rollings over the last two seasons, has been promoted to series regular, Deadline confirms. It's unknown at this time exactly what prompts the character to stick around, or what her status will be with love interest Steve McGarrett, but the promotion kicks in this fall.

Hawaii Five-0 is on a break and will return with a new, serial-killer based episode on April 9.

NOOOOOOO, not Catherine! Kono is way better suited for Steve.

Such wonderful news - Alex back! Can't wait to see him up on the screen
again --- And a terrific idea to bring more of Catherine onto the show --
she's not coming in as a team member -- she'll no doubt be the same
character - just we get to have more of her --- I love her and Steve
together --- have been wishing there would be more of them together -- after all, a handsome hunk like Alex should have a woman in his life -- someone
that makes him happy --- and I love to see him happy and smiling..... they'll probably have Catherine more involved with the cases too ---
I'm thrilled with the new ideas - Loved the show from Day #1 -- and as with
all of us, I'm sure, can't wait to see Alex --- he has been so missed ----
There's nobody like him -----

i think lori is going to die honestly. if you read all of the comments from the producer and cast i am POSITIVE it's not one of the originals. for starters they say it's a federal agent. since when are danny, steve, chin and kono federal agents. they're titles are detectives not agents so i think it's either fryer or lori and i'm positive of that fact. if catherine joins i dont think she will be part of 5-0 cos the producers are not that stupid. but hey if you don't believe that we will all know who will die in may and what catherine will be up to in sept.

I had an exciting time shooting episode 220--"Ha alele". Although the rain never stopped, it certainly wet my appetite to be a part of a series again.
The show will air April 9th.

As I suspected Frank Delano would be back for revenge against Kono and Fryer, I still don't believe Kono is leaving. I think this might be a 2 story line ep. The main story Steve, Danny and Chin looking for the killer of the federal agent, the second Kono and Fryer teaming up hunt Delano. this will be the end of the Kono story line from the beginning of season. What I believe might happen is Delano will kill Fryer and Kono will kill Delano. I think the shelve life of Delano and Fryer is up so this would take care of that.
Very happy to see Alex is doing well and will be back for the final eps, great news.

@Lena.....That's great news. Will miss Alex in the crossover, but at least they will explain his absence in the show. So glad to hear he is doing well, and he will be back for 2.22 and the finale 2.23. You can't end the season without McG.

Continue!!!! WITH SPOILERS!!!!!!SPOILERS!!!! SPOILERS!!!! When McGarrett reappears on the May 7 episode, he will have located his arch enemy, Wo-Fat, and toss him in the slammer. Alex also appears in the action-packed May 14 season finale, which begins with the death of a familiar face and also sees the returns of Terry O'Quinn, Tom Sizemore and William Baldwin. And for the record, Peter assures me Alex is "doing great." Good to hear. What's 5-0 without McGarrett?
{Source TV GUIDE} Alex will miss almost 2 full episode he is only briefly in 2.20 but The best news is hearing that Alex is "doing great" that's all what matters two more episode to go and then 3 monts off for Alex to get back to complete health. Welcome Back! Alex

How many episodes of Hawaii Five-0 is Alex O'Loughlin going to miss because of his stint in rehab? —Kelly, Birmingham, Alabama Good news. Just one full episode will be McGarrett-less. When Alex went to rehab in March, citing dependency on prescription pain medication due to a shoulder injury, the Hawaii Five-0 team did have to do some last-minute scrambling. But according to executive producer Peter Lenkov, Alex's absence fit in well with the story arc he'd already mapped out. "Things happen; that's the business," shrugs Peter. "We rewrote it." Alex appears briefly in the April 9 episode, when we learn that McGarrett suspects Joe (Terry O'Quinn) lied to him about being Shelburne. "He ends up leaving a 'Dear Danno' letter before taking off to find the real Shelburne," explains Peter. Unfortunately, the actor is absent entirely from the next original episode on April 30, the big NCIS: Los Angeles crossover with guest appearances from Chris O'Donnell and LL Cool J.

So sad that Steve won't be in the crossover. The friendship that Steve has with Sam Hanna was something that was supposed to be explored, oh well story for another season I guess. It would have also been awesome to see a four way bromance betweeen Steve and Danny with Callen and Sam

Martinelli

Maybe Danny could work with Hatty, putting together some plan ... :)))
