The carguments and humour of the characters are not going anywhere. Either people need to let it go, or watch something else. Danny is hilarious, there are darker episodes. Please don't try to take away my good time.
This was a great episode, loved how they mixed the old with the new. I knew August March had to be involed, but I did not expect him to shoot Angela. Looking forward to the rest of the season.

The ratings have been down slightly for all shows in this time slot. There has been a lot going on, and with all the repeats, (which is the networks fault not H50), people tend to get frustrated and move on to something else. Although H50's numbers have gone down slightly, they seem to win either the demographic, or the total number of people, or both since the second half of the season. The carguments and bromance are a big part of the show, the producers and writers know it, the actors know it, and most of the fans know it. Others may have a differing opinion and that is their right. A sense of humor is a personal thing, if someone does not like it, then they will watch something else.

The show didnt suffer at all in the beginning of the season. The ratings were considerably higher than they are now. The last 4/5 episodes have been mediocre at best and the ratings have reflected that. I totally disagree that the show wouldnt have been renewed if we didnt get the bromance. What is this bromance anyway. Two men acting like overgrown kids or like a married couple. If this is what the majority of the audience were looking for then why havn't the ratings soared instead of dropped for the last few episodes. I know all my offline friends have stopped watching. The banter was natural last season, not forced like it is this season and Danny wasn't nearly as annoying. The show has lost its magic and there is no core 4. Chin and Kono are just as underused as they've ever been. The guest stars get more air time. Alex is the only thing that keeps me watching. Without him the show just doesn't have enough to interest me.

There is something that bothers me and that's how the writers treat the family members. Malia is never present. We've seen her at the charity party and that's all. I'm not saying she has to be present each time but it would be nice to hear from her every now and then. Season 1 I guess there was no episode without her, now she is vanished ever since she was kidnapped. These are details, I know but I find it strange the way they treat them. I hope I'm the only one.
I think the season finale is going to bring us something totally unexpected. Wo Fat, Joe and Adam Noshimori will be back, that's for sure.

Episode 2.20 airs April 9th it is called Ha'alele (abandoned) and 2.21 airs on on April 30th titled Pa Make Loa (touch of death)
That should give alex a good amount of time beyond his three weeks to recover so that is a good sign he will only miss 2.20.

My husband always stays up and watches it with me and he does not watch tv. It is the one show he watches. But then after he is exhausted and wishes it was on earlier. He gets up super early. I used to just dvr it and watch the next day but I watch live now for my hubby. Hey if anyone is worth losing sleep over it is alex!! :) Maybe that is why my husband watches it with me, he always comments on my alex love!! ha ha!

@zia..I totally think danny and steve's relationship is key to this show. I am with you on that one for sure. Sometimes he can be a bit much for me but I always enjoy he and steve together.I just thought they were adorable last night. Of course there are other elements of the show that are important but the foundation is that bromance.
@amazingalex... Hope your right I am used that H5O airs on Monday I always take Tuesday off so I can stay up for the episode LOL
Next new H50 episodes 2.20 HA'ALELE (Abandoned) airs Apr. 9 | 2.21 PA MAKE LOA (Touch of Death) airs Apr. 30. so two episodes in April.

I don't find the character of Danny irritating or whiny as some people say. If it was not the banter between McG and Danny, then I'm not so sure the show would have been re-newed for the 2nd season. That was a big part of what got people interested. When they went away from that in the beginning of this season, the show suffered. They have gotten back to it and the Core 4, in the last 6-7 episodes. Recurring characters and guest stars are great and needed, but the draw is the 4 team members and their chemistry with one another. I think it has finally hit its stride this season, and is a main reason why it was re-newed for a 3rd season. Danny and Steve need to keep busting each others chops, its not the only draw, but probably the most important. We also need more Chin and Kono, which is what was being said last season. With that being said, since January, they have gotten back to what attracted us in season 1, and the stories have been better, and less disjointed.

@lena... I think it will def stay on mondays. CBS's line up normally dominates monday nights so I dont see them moving it. H50 always comes out of top at 10 as well. They say they never move shows that are doing well where they are. DWTS is only on towards the end of the regular season anyway so it should be just fine.
I think lenkov if anyone would be getting regular updates on alex. I think he would not have answered if wo fat is coming back if he did not know when alex was returning. But that is just my opinion. Lets hope we are right.
@amazingalex...I also think they know when Alex will be back they have said it would be a short break so fingers crossed he only wil miss one episode!
I agree glad the show already is renew for another season Monday night is a heavy night for all shows I am curious if H5O will stay on Monday's.
@JEREMY... Never heard of the THE VACHONS but bring it on If it means we get better and more story lines.
@Lesley Wilmoth... I am also a fan of the the characters and relationships, more than the cops and robbers stuff.Hope next season the focus will be back on that part more.

This ep was excellent. Good call bringing Mary McG back,and I pray for Alex to make a smooth recovery.
Word on the street is Wo Fat may be coming back. I didn't think FOR ONE MINUTE we'd seen the last of HIM so I hope the H50 team will be ready for him this time.
I remember another group of criminals from the original series named
THE VACHONS. They were like the Corleones of Hawaii,and they came THIS CLOSE to ending McGarrett's career.
It would be interesting to see them come back next season.

@lena..that is what I got from the confirmation from lenkov that wo fat is returning as well. Without alex that story would not work and they would have had to put it off till next season. I thought maybe he knows alex will be back soon, for him to so confidently say wo fat is back this season. Fingers crossed!
Its all good with the ratings. I think we all knew that DWTS (which I personally dont like) would affect H50 but H50 was already renewed so at least we dont have to sweat it. I am so glad they already confirmed its renewal. :)

@ginger..didnt that have to do with the fact that her "friend" needed to use her to smuggle drugs or be the fall guy for the drug smuggling and she got her that job. I guess maybe that would still be a difficult route to get as a stewardess but that is what I took from mary getting that job and that flight. Maybe i am wrong.

Love the episode, TARYN MANNING WAS AWESOME and Ed was awesome too
Gotta say as a mckono shipper loved the ending scene, it showcased THEM LOOKS. They've got at least one scene each since Lori's gone.

How incredibly lucky for Mary that she managed to score the prize airline route from New York to Hawaii that most flight attendants have to work years to achieve. No starting out on the no-name routes for her. I love Ed Asner and he played his part perfectly. He made the episode for me.

Peter Lenkov just confirmed Wo fat is coming back this season. So exciting!! I know he has said it in the past but I am happy that this is a recent acknowledgement that he is indeed returning. Only a few more episodes so should be shooting these epis soon.
I really enjoyed this episode. I wasn't fond of the earlier part of this season, but the last few episodes have done a lot to remind me what I liked so much about season 1. They're getting back to the Steve and Danny banter and also the team stuff. That is what I like about this show, the characters and relationships, more than the cops and robbers stuff. Also on the plus side, I liked Mary Ann a lot more this time than ever before. I've always thought the character was annoying, but I like what they did with her this time. If the writers keep writing the character like that, instead of whining and totally annoying, I hope they bring her back again.

I sometimes think he overdoes the anger tantrum stuff but last night I thought he did a great job with his character and I especially loved that he was hurt when steve said they are sort of surfing buddies. he wanted steve to acknowledge that they were buddies period. I thought it was cute. And you are right we need the bromance. Steves look at him when he was walking out of the dining room was adorable. They are adorable!
