I hope the writers are not going to put Elena and Steffan back together
he makes a better bad guy then goog guy.. Damon is the best on the show
and to send him back to his old ways sucks... Remember he started out years ago being the good guy ..
I too like Caroline and Klaus together, her making him a good guy the king and queen of Vampires.......
Mother Vampire got to go and I hope the kids all killer...

Well guys, I think the problem here is:
in mama's plans when the originals die Elena will die with them.
Seriously when elena betrayed elijah she sealed her own fate.
Tatia will be turning up soon too, mark my words.
Finn's deeply boring.
Kol is a firecracker.
rebekah is hot.
Klaus should have shown more complexity from the start rather thn being apervert and then becoming a sensitive artist.

I knew Damon would hook up with Rebakah, once Elena told him at the ball that she would never love him( she did not say those words but that is what she meant) Damon realized that being the good guy and taking care of her was not worth it and so he has reverting back to season 1 Damon and knows that sleeping with Rebekah will really hurt Elena
I am so happy that the last 2 weeks we have gotten closer to the old Stefan, you know he still loves Elena and eventhough him leaving was to protect Damon, after all the stuff he has done lately he thinks that he dose not deserves her BUT we all know they will get back together by the end of the season
However if the rumors are true and Elijah and Elena hook up they can me called Gilkanson (for Gilbert and Mikaelson)

I like Elijah, for now at least. Has it ever been explained why he is the only one in his family that does not have an accent?
I dare say it but I liked seeing Klaus' vulnerable side with Caroline but I do not want them to get together.

I cant believe Matt gave the episode only 3 stars! It was 5 to me!!
So to start I think it was very telling when Elena showed up at the ball and Stefan and Damon went to talk to her and once it was decided she would stay, when she linked arms with Stefan she was very gentle but when she linked arms with Damon it was out of reluctance and she was forceful when she did so, to me that just proves that she will never love Damon and will always love Stefan.
I am not sure if Elena can trust Esther, if killing all her children is the only way to kill Klaus I would think she would do it, to get revenge on Klaus but does she really want to kill her other kids..I would say yes as she realizes turning them all to Vampires was an abomination but I still think there is more to her plan than she is letting on.
I really want to know who is trying to kill all the founding members, the same person that was spying on Elena and Matt and the hospital

Ohh and the scene with damon and rebekkah was a bit "nowhere" :p! But like another commented on this page " it was bound to happen" since they are both tortured and impulsive chararcters.

I really liked that episode, the storyline about the mother's intention is very interesting. I am glad elena felt bad about what she responded to damon, but the chemistry between elena and stephan is undeniable and the scene at the end was perfect!

I was sickened over that Damon and Rebekkah love scene. I actually LOVE Caroline and Klaus together.....would love to see her be the one woman on earth over centuries be the one who softens him. I hope they leave all the new charachters for a long time...love all the story possibilites. And if I don't get some Elena and Damon love this season I will be pissed!

Finally...
Rebekkah and Damon having sex was bound to happen, I thought so ever since that episode awhile back at the campfire when he pretend flirted to distract her. There is an interesting dynamic there!
I was so nervous that Matt was going to get killed by Kol/Rebekkah, I dont even love his character but I was still scared for him, the writers/director know how to convey suspense in my opinion.
Overall this was one of my top episodes of the season, which is why I was so surprised you didn't enjoy it! And it seems a lot of viewers agreed with you

Everyone seems to be complaining that Elena lied to Elijah, I love him too and was sad but what else was she supposed to do? Not let him drink it, ruin her chance to kill Klaus, and piss off the original witch? It was her only option and it was great that the writers made us care and wonder if Elena would stop him from drinking, but the fact that she let him drink makes sense in the long run…..
Glad Bonnie wasn't around, she's useless…
I too get annoyed that the love triangle gets dragged on so long, but I cant deny how amazing the scenes between Stefan and Elena were. The chemistry is there and I think its amazing that Paul Wesley has the ability to make the audience hate him one minute and love him the next...

I'm surprised you didnt like this episode Matt, I really enjoyed it! I love episodes where the main characters are in 1 room/party together because it provides a lot of interesting interactions.
I loved the Klaus and Caroline scenes. I know it is wrong, but at the same time Damon/Stefan have done some terrible things and Elena has forgiven them. I also dont think it will happen anytime soon, they will definitely take their time with this, especially when Tyler comes back into the picture. Whether it is moral or not, I had a big smile on my face during their scenes. When he said “I fancy you” it was adorable. He's still an amazing villain, but I never hated him. His character has so many layers and this just adds to his character. I'm curious to see what he would do if Caroline broke his heart, kill Tyler perhaps?...

Well my thoughts on this ep was that I am tired of the love triangle of ESD. I mean come on pick a brother and move on already or don't pick either of them and choose Elijah. I do love the idea of a triangle with Klaus,Caroline and Tyler. They need to bring in the orginal werewolf...Im just sayin. Klaus's dad would bring some change to the show. And can someone give poor Matt a girlfriend thats human I mean really!!! This poor guy can't seem to get a break.

Damon got what he deserves, as he is as selfish and self-destructive as they come. He doesn't deserve Elena and she shouldn't feel one bit remorseful for what she said to him.
Stefan on the other hand made me cry like a baby and he should have kissed Elena and not walked away. She obviously still loves him so much and so does he. Just get over the pain already and kiss her damn it!!!!

Damon confessed his feelings to Elena and her behaviour was cruel towards him. What is wrong with the female characters on this show? Why are they always choosing Stefan? I mean I like Stefan but I want Damon to be happy for once in his existence. Besides this storyline with Damon getting rejected and acting self-destructive is boring. Could the writers please stop repeating the same storyline over and over again? The Damon and Rebekka scene at the end was really hot!! Elena is really missing out on something! I hope that Elena will be jealous because of that and she really should be.

The episode was okay but some storylines really seemed forced. I'm not against Klaroline but it seems a bit rushed. I mean I can't believe that Klaus developed feelings for Caroline so fast. It would be interesting to see the other side of Klaus' character. But the drawing, the horse and all of that stuff was just too much in one episode. Candice really looked gorgeous in that dress.
As for Elena I really don't like her at the moment. Damon has been such a wonderful friend for her and she treated him like crap. I understand that Elena wanted to talk to Esther but there could have been another way. I felt so bad for Damon because no matter what he does it's always wrong. In s1 he was evil and didn't care at all for anyone. Now he cares and it still isn't right. Damon really can't win! Could the writers of this show please give him a break?

@meah... your wrong. Delena fans, while the overwhelming majority are not the only ones to dislike the episode but nice try. Myself and many others disliked this episode, can you read? Its really not all about you and your two friends dear. Delena will have its time, problem for you is its looking like it might be endgame.

Again, I just really really really need to say that I disagree with this article about Klaus and Caroline and I LOVE THEM! I loved Forwood before but the intensity of my emotions towards Klaus and Caroline render my Forwood feelings insignificant. Here's to hoping Caroline will eventually feel the same!

I agree with some of the commentors who said Elena is being selfish! She is becoming the female version of Katherine. For months and months she used Damon to help find Stefan and now when he tells her how she feels, she says screw you? I don't think so. The writers are going to have to do something really selfless to get in my good books again.
I felt this ep was a let down. It wasn't what I expected. Oh well.
I think it will be great to have old Damon back. He is MUCH more fun than bad Stefan. Elena will realize a better thing when he is with someone else.

I also disagree with this one. I loved the episode and I especially loved Klaus and Caroline. I find it kind of funny that Klaus was struggling with his game when it came to Caroline! LOL.
As for Caroline's actions being irrational, I know she just went to the ball to keep an eye on Matt. I know she'll resist all of Klaus's advances because he's well... Klaus... and because she's still holding out for Tyler. So that's for sure, except we also know she really CAN'T resist him for long. :D
