You are absolutely right! Chair is the heart of GG and the writers are just wasting the on-screen chemistry that Leighton and Ed have by creating these stupid obstacles to keep them apart. And the same goes for Delena. I don't understand why the writers can't make them happen already. I mean the majority of the viewers want to see DE happen and Nina and Ian have great chemistry. I would be really disappointed if all of these wonderful DE scenes were for nothing in the end.

I always was a stelena fan because I was glad that for once a relationship in a TV show was not all drama and off and on every week. But these days it feels that finally TVD has become another of these shows where it's all about the drama and the million of silly reasons why people's love lives are complicated. Stelena used to feel real, but now both stelena and delena are forced, intentionally complicated so we have to keep on watching episodes just to know... Urgh! I hate it when writers think we're not smart enough to see what they're trying to do.
I usually hate love triangles, but I was surprised in seasons 1 and 2 because there wasn't too much of that nonsense in the story. But now it's there ALL THE TIME, and the triangle is getting so old that they feel the need to create a new (unlikely) one! At some point a girl's gotta make a choice and let the story be.
Love your loyalty but have to disagree. Buffy like Batman can always be interpreted different.
Buffy is not Batman.
There's only one Joss Whedon. There's only one SMG. Thus there's only one Buffy and only one portrayal and only one interpretation. No one else can do justice to that character and should not try.
If it does not contain Whedon's writing and SMG's acting, then its not Buffy. Its something else, something inferior. That's all.

Ok, I'm already shipping Klaus and Caroline. Hard. We finally got to see a human side of Klaus, and he and Caroline have mad chemistry. He's like Dracula to her Mina. If Mina was also a vampire. My main ship is Damon and Elena. I absolutely love them together! But, I was so p*ssed at Elena last night. The way she so callously threw Damon's love for her in his face made me so angry. I wasn't even upset when Damon slept with Rebecca. He deserved to get some. I love reformed Damon as much as bad boy Damon. But, it was fun seeing season 1-2 Damon back. I've missed my "eternal stud." The one who used to dance with his shirt off and toss people off buildings. Nothing will ever make me stop rooting for Delena. So, I hope Elena comes to her senses, apologizes to Damon, and continues down the road to falling in love with him. If she isn't already. I really hope Klaus and Elijah won't die. They bring a real sense of danger and excitement to the show.

Let`s take Gossip Girl..I mean Chuck and Blair are the obvious choice of a reason for watching this stupid stuff around stupid people and their chemistry caught me off guard week by week..But now they destroy everything of this great chemistry because they build week by week more stupid reasons for these perfect couple why they could not be together..(Last time i checked it was caused on a promise to go..HELLLOOOO!!!) and why, because the want the fanbase crying for them..We are not a product and they`re overstepping their boundries with forcing a wall for a relationsship 75% of the audience are dreaming about..Holy crap, i promise i can make it better than Julie Plec..stupid

@Kyra: totally agree with you! Elena's behavior was selfish and stupid; moreover, no one should treat a friend in such a way.
And I'm getting really, really annoyed by the "love triangle"! Why does every show with even the smallest triangle (LOST, True Blood...) miss the point of no return? The point after which every triangle just starts to be noncredible and a pain in the neck? :-(
I think the reason why Klaus is so fond of Caroline out of nowhere is just what Vampirebarbie herself said: he wants to be loved so desperately and is used to get what he wants, he just makes the most obvious choice... which guy wouldn't make a move on Caroline as soon as Tyler was out of the way?
Still not sure what to make out of Esther - actually, I don't WANT her to succeed, I like Elijah, Klaus and even Rebekah (after this episode) too much. I hope that Finn is NOT ready to die, I mean, he spent years in a coffin and just got his undead life back, so hopefully he changes his mind...
Btw Candice Accola needs to be the next Buffy.

But C.Accola certainly deserves a badass role somewhere else, with actual good quality writers.

Gossip Girl - 09 episodes : Lost - 12 episodes : The Vampire Diaries - 58 episodes. When I stopped watching each show.
Nov 11-- "Final ?'s Did they fire all of last season writers? This season has been really bad with not much structure
I'd still like an answer. As the character accuracy has been abysmal throughout this season. Not to mention the story lines.
To borrow words from Andrew Kevin Walker's Se7en " Holy Christ, somebody call somebody. Call somebody."
Btw Candice Accola needs to be the next Buffy.

This episode was intense, beautiful, mind blowing. By far the best episode. Thank you for FINALLY bring back Damon (my personal fave) of Season one. The Damon who was/is bada-s with a capital B. The Damon who is the best manwhore of all time. This is the Damon that is smokin hot. Have to admit it, I was getting really tired of the wimpy/love sick/puppy dog Damon. WELCOME BACK DAMON, YOU'VE BEEN MISSED!!!!!!!!!!!!!! btw, Rebekah and Damon have the award for the hottest sex scene. Please have those two get together for a little sex session every so often.

And friends don`t treat eachother like you did..Remember, you´re pillow talk and you crying in front of him "where were you Damon"..Whenever you need him it`s okay, but now you broke his neck and his heart without thinkin twice of it and without reflecting that friendship means to respect the other part..Elena, you`re not worthy of any Salvatore..Get you`re human, get kids and leave this guys alone..I`m so dissapinted about you`re attitude..Elena, you`re totally scewed it up..

Good episode and props to Nina and Paul,they were SMOLDERING!!I kept thinking they were going to jump each other.An that last scene was beautiful.As for Caroline and Klaus I love their friendship and could possibly jump on board the romance train if they are written correctly.An Yay bad boy Damon is back!!!I was so sick of his wounded puppy routine with Elena.Next episode looks interesting to say the least.

I liked the show! But I am a huge fan!!! I wish Stefan would of kissed Elena but maybe sometime this season it will happen hopefully =) i am def a Stefan & Elena fan!!! and for the ending with Damon & Rebekah I LOVED it!!! Vampires & Hot SEX = SEXY!!! :)

Not sure what changed this third season (is Williamson no longer writing episodes with Plec?) but the whole season seems disconnected, incoherent, sometimes bordering on downright silly. Last season I had to watch every episode twice, just in case I missed something, but now I have no desire to watch season 3 episodes twice. Episodes used to be so full of emotion, but now I feel they are kind of void of any feeling. And way too many times the writers try to explain away why/how certain things happened that just don't really work. Even the comments we make for the third season have changed....it seems many people agree with me now....just so unfortunate because I had such high hopes for this show.
They so ripped off True Blood with the magazine cover with the brothers and Elena.
Not surprising. Hardly anything is original in this show. Everything they either try to copy from Buffy and fail or take from some other popular thing.
Plus, the writers seem intent on shoving Klaroline down our throats. It came out of absolutely nowhere and suddenly Klaus is smitten with Caroline after meeting her just once. Or is that not the case? Does he spend his nights watching her sleep, a la Edward Cullen, or something? Seriously, what am I missing here?
OH GOD, THIS HAS SO MUCH TRUTH.
Except for last part. Damon and Stefan are the Edward Cullens of this show, complete with their own bland bella swan ;]
Whole DES triangle is the worst and weakest part of the show. Both the triangle itself and characters involved in it.
Elena does not deserve the title of "lead heroine character" because she is neither lead nor heroine nor character. She is a bland caring flawless mary sue cardboard.

Oh, and for the first time I really like Elena and Stefan's scenes.
We can't fool ourselves, even if we wanted it, the love triangle will stay for long, so why don't we enjoy it for what it is^^

I don't understand those who critics Caroline behaviour from this episode: for me, there is not doubt she's not interested, she cut him off (I'm not sure that the expression I was looking for, sorry English not my first langage^^) several times and she's not going to throw herself at him like that but you can't really blame her to show some curiosity toward Klaus and I hope she will in the futur.
On the other hand, I have to agree that the drawing at the end was maybe a little too much but it may be because the horse. A "only Caroline" portrait would have please me more.
And how cute was Klaus the whole time. I loved his scene with his mother when she asked him about girls^^ Curiously, Klaus being an artist didn't bother me. I mean, the guy is 1000, of course he has hobbies!

as for Elena, I must say I'm not a very big fan of the love triangle anymore, I usually don't really like her and I love Damon, but he did not even considered her opinion and was even "brutal" with her. I get he wanted to protect her, in his own way, but it was not the way to do it. Apart from that, I don't really like, like the majority, the way Elena is always portrated like a saint...and it surprised myself, but I do like her interactions with Caroline and Matt, maybe more than those with the brothers...
On the Caroline/Klaus issue...well I am biased because I just adore Caroline and love Klaus. So, I would love to see something develop between those two, friendship or more^^ I don't see why it couldn't happen but it will take time.

Everything was off, to say the least. Elena treated Damon like trash and didn't even give him the benefit of the doubt when she saw him tearing up the vamp. Really Elena? But she's gonna go soft on Stefan all of a sudden now? DE's scenes weren't allowed to be steamy because Stefan was once ag in thrown in to soon. No build to SE again. Then we have Forwood phone calls?!! What is this General Hospital? I love Elijah but they didn't even let him shine this time. Its like everything is disconnected and shoved down my throat. Nobody wants SE, nobody wants Elijah to die and even Klaus is being pussified. Water down our characters, mix em up and see what happens. This ain't Gossip Girl!!!
Damon: She's strong and crafty and you'll die. Elena: At least I'll die trying.
