I keep seeing things baout vampire diaries trying to copy or rip-off buffy, can anyone give me a few examples of this? Why do people insist on comparing the two, if they're nothing a like. Are these comparisons on vampire diaries posts or is it similar on true blood posts as well? I've never heard twilight being compared to buffy, so why TVD? Both are great shows in their own right, although I did love buffy's villians more, but I like vampire diaries witches more, probably because I couldn't get over the fact that an ordinary human could just somehow become wiccan. I actually enjoyed this episode. Yeas, Elena was wrong, but every now and then a character needs to do something that makes their story all the more compelling like last season when Damon regressed, look at all his progress, for now I still think Delena might be endgame for season 3. I'm assuming there'll be a season 4?

P.s. Adore Klaus chasing Caroline... Candice is such a great actress. I'm sure will one day be a leading actress in some show/movie.

...I think Elena has also had quite a few moments where Stefan has treated her horribly since Klaus came along but the fact that she still clearly feels for him deeply, that she wants him to show her he cares for her alot, says alot. However, I personally don't care if they write in a nice normal relationship for her that was just fun and sexy again... like she had with Stefan in the first season.

Personally I loved this episode... the gowns, the suits, the music, the dancing, the 'sexy' just all over the place.. loved it.
I didn't expect the writers to write in Stefan clicking to the fact that he's truly losing Elena... if not to his brother, to somebody (loved that). I know there are many shippers for 'Delena' and I think it's great that the actors are dating outside of the show but as a viewer from the very start I can't help but think it was Stefan that rescured her from the bridge accident, it was Stefan that imagined this whole life with Elena in Mystic Falls and it was Stefan who saved his brother in turn losing what he had built with Elena. All Damon saw in the very beginning was another toy who he began to love because she looked like Katherine and because Elena wanted to see the good in him. (cont..)

Books have nothing to do with the show. Elena in the books was actually a great character, you see, unlike the Bella Swan Elena of tv show.

I loved this episode. I can't believe that Esther is willing to kil all of her children just to get revenge on klaus and have him fine for good. I liked seeing a nicer side of klaus I think he really cares about caroline because when he drew the picture if her with horse it shows how kind he can be a that he really likes her. I can't wait till the next episode it looks awesome.

He's not close to having her YET.. I understand your a fangirl but still have to correct you. It bothers me that some of you are so bias you literally don't see the same show anti shippers do. Its like watching a football game without rooting interest, if you appreciate the sport you don't have too

In no way did Damon get close to HAVING Elena.
Yes, Elena likes Damon. Yes, she is thankful for all the ways he's been there for her lately and everything he's done. Yes, she felt rejected and vulnerable as of late because the love of her life appeared to not care about her and there was a beautiful guy who was swooning over her and that's nice to indulge in, sometimes. But it's so obvious that she doesn't LOVE him. At this point she could not possibly feel obligated to stay away from Damon because of Stefan. The reason she stays away from him is because she still loves Stefan and it's realistic, imo. You don't just stop loving someone and shift your affection to someone else! No matter how hot that other person is.
I'm not saying she doesn't like Damon and care about him, but she loves Stefan and I respect her for that even though she was pretty mean to Damon tonight. She could have been more sensitive.

One more thing, although I understand why Damon and Becka slept together, I just hated it. I'm not mad at the writers or think it was wrong to make him do, I just wanted him with Elena. Sigh, besides if he's going to move on, I want him with a really awesome girl that sees him as amazing.

I loved the ball, everyone looked amazing. I don't think Elena was trying to reject Damon's love, I think she was just frustrated and she even admitted that she said something she didn't mean. Which means, she's not rejecting him. I also didn't like how everyone assumed Damon was just fighting for no reason, he was being a good guy. I understood the need to get around Damon, but I don't think they should have made him feel like a jerk for doing his best to protect the woman he loves.
I hope they don't kill Elijah by the way, I just love him!

I always thought that Stephan and Elena were boring, but this episode they had quite a bit of chemistry. I've always preferred Damon's charming personality, but I can't deny the chemistry she has with both men. Also, I think that Damon is the better person. He didn't want to be a vampire after Katherine was "dead" and Stephan pushed him into it. Damon then spent the rest of his time trying to find a way to get the woman he loved back and Stephan was off sleeping around and being the Ripper. Then, when he found out Katherine's true nature, he lashed out for a bit out of heartbreak but fell for Elena. Since then, he's been doing everything he can to help and protect her and I don't think he's appreciated enough. I hate that both Katherine and Elena prefer Stephan, someone has to love Damon best. It's the same in the books, poor Damon. Also, the back and forth is the same in the books too.

I have quite a few thoughts, but one thing no one has brought up is that Esther said she created abominations of nature and she had to set it right, but aren't then ALL vampires abominations? If she wants her kids gone, wouldn't she want all the vampires that were spawned from them gone too? Goodbye all our favorite vamps? I wonder if that's what she will want in the end, and that may make everyone work against her. Elena may be able to let Elijah die (which I'm not b/c he's awesome) but not Damon, Stephan and Caroline. cont'd

With all due respect to Forwood fans, I've never thought Tyler was good enough for Caroline. And how many times will he skip town and barely let her know what's going on? He's too much of a loner. Caroline's a social butterfly. I'm rooting for a Klaus transformed by love. He orchestrated the whole bite thing by Tyler so he could get close to her and save her life I think anyway. And Elena and Damon, really getting stale. Too much drawing this out already. I would be fine if she gets back with Stefan. Stop milking this already.

Okay I'm so angry. Damon and Rebekah! WHY!!!? WHAT THE HELL ARE THEY THINKING!!!!!!! Damon got so close to having Elena! Why do F**king Rebekah have to ruin it for him? I mean gease the guys already gotten his heart broken once by Katarina b/c she loved Stefan. Why can't Damon actually have something good/positive happen for him?
