... buffy was a much better heroine not because of her powers but because of her emotional depth... or maybe im just allergic to damsels in distress and prefer strong woman who can take care of them selves and not get others killed for their sake.... she is by far the most useless character iv ever seen... she sets women back 100s of years for always needing to be saved...(im a guy and im saying this- so this sez alot)... u knw the type im talking about... the female characters in the movies in the past that only served as a love interest and could do nothing but get caught by the villain... please give us more hermiones, buffys, willows and taras... not a useless thing like elena

after wacthing this episode my hatred for the character of elena has grown to frequent bursts of angher that result in me vomiting... this episode was painful becuase depsite EVERYONE WARNING HER not to ruin things you knew she still had to go ahead and ruin things as always... im so tired of this damsel in distress act... i was happy when rebekah was telling elena off elena desrves death to make her interesting and to make her more tolerable to the masses... she is exactly like that useless and forever nasally constipated bella swan... and it pains me alot when i see those "i love u stefan" moments in that whiney voice... poor bonnie again she suffers because of this useless elena whose special gift is to cause death of those around her... jenna, her mother, her father, now abby bennet.... god im so sick of this show and this character im not sure that i will continue to follow it

Yeah, I am starting to dislike the Elena character too. Its like, who else are they gonna kill off to save her. If she wants to hang out with vampires and stop ppl dying for her than the best solution would be for her to turn.

@TeamSalvatore - I agree, you do make a good point. I just want Elena to know why Damon did what he did, Like Caroline said to her "everything that happend was to save you". I think that Damon has changed becasue he could have just killed Abbey, but he didnt do that, instead he turned her.
@TeamSalvatore - You also have a good point, i watched it again and you are right, Damon took the fall to help his brother, nothing to do with Elena for once.
and yes i agree with others that 'Elena" has been selfish, i mean not even selfish but imature, not listening to the salvatore brothers and going off with her her own stupid plans that get people killed. i just got so engry with her atfer this episode that when Rebekah was talking i found myself being on Rebekas side lol. I am enjoying the brothers getting closer,

I'm no Delena fan, or Stelena for that matter but I wouldn't be so sure that the Delena is over Stefelena. I can't shake the feeling that this season will end with Delena, I just think the writers want Elena to pick Damon, not because Stefan's unavailable and because she in fact at that moment loves him more. We'll see what happens. As for the whole selfish thing, yeas everyone in the show has done something selfish, like in life, no one is a saint. The bottom line is they still have reasons to trust each others because they have good intentions, are you telling me if you're friend did one selfish thing, you'll never share anything with them again? Wow, with friends like that who needs enemies.

@Stefelena, I agree and would add that every character on this show has been selfish at some point, not one of them is saint. If you want to name one selfish, then go back and re-watch what others did in the past. All of them Stefan, Bonnie, Elena, Damon, Caroline, Matt, Tyler have at some point done things that made them look bad. I don't even see how they can trust each other, if in the end one of them decides to do something completely different and end up screwing everyone over.
I think even if stefan tell elena that damon took the fall for him by turning abby it won't matter,she will still be mad at both of them since its the two of them that planned it anyway,and what even annoyed me more is that they didn't care about how bonnie is going to feel but about what elena might feel,bonnie has saved their lives so many times even though she hates vampires,if i were bonnie i'll set both of them on fire.

I wouldn't go as far as to call Stefan selfish!!!

Katarina,yeah damon lost the coin but decided to turned abby coz their is only one of them that elena needs to hate and he doesn't want it to be stefan,when stefan asked damon that why did he do it coz damon lost the coin toss and it was suppose to be stefan who will turned abby,damon said that he did it so that stefan will have less thing to feel guilty about and he tried to win elena from him but she doesn't want him and its better that way and how is stefan being selfish just coz he didn't tell elena that he screwed their plan to save damon.

Wow, everybody has the guilts in this episode, especially Elena. Guilty for causing "pain" to Stefan, guilty for treating Damon so badly and guilty for causing the death of Bonnie's mother. She needs to take a break and go off with Elijah who is also suffering. Maybe they can heal each other.

I hope Stefan tells Elena that Damon took the fall for him with turning ABBY! it was meant to be Stefan who turned HER! Stefan LOST the COIN TOSS, but Damon lied and said that he lost and that he will do it. Damon did this for Stefan, and admitted that Elena doesnt want him, so his gonna back off now and told Stefan to go for it.
Damon told Elena when he found out that Stefan ruined the Klaus killing plan to Save him! BUT Stefan is selfish and probably WONT tell Elena.
Stefan knew that Damon was taking the fall and let him do it anyway, otherwise how did he know that he lost the coin toss. HE SAW IT!! SELFISH.
I hope Damon and Rebeka get together. She would be good to him.
As for ELENA in this episode... I have no comment for her anymore. She tried being a hero and went off with Elijah and wrecked the plan! She needs a few punches in the head, maybe then she would LISTEN. Bonnie suffers AGAIN coz of her
