Weird that Lilly has NOT contacted Cece when she was looking for Charly, right? And weird that Rufus knew that Lilly was at the Empire and Chivy wainting for her at the apartment and he did not tell either of them. The writers make so many mistakes it is unbelievable.
Anyway I hate Dair. I still do not get how people can love this and how Dan could fall for Blair. But I guess everyone had to hook up with everyone at least once in this show, right? I see Cherena coming haha :D
Apart from the bad storyline and the many many mistakes I really LOVED Blair's dress ;)

(Contd.) I once more enjoyed the thrill that Chair was.I enjoyed how dynamic Ed Westwick and therefore Chuck is.I shook my head, as we all have done, at the crazy plot lines and convoluted story arcs! It took this review to see the present state of the characters in a better perspective. And as far as that goes I think the writers have done sort of an okay job!I do see progression in our leads.IMO,the biggest mistake with the writers was that suddenly the whole focus shifted from Serena to Blair & while I always liked Blair (Meester) more, this shift meant that they just could not handle giving equal prominence to each character & plot and soon GG became all about the famous triangle!

Coming back to character progression, from every point it is so clear that Chair just cannot be end game. This Dair, this crazy relationship, born out of indifference, then enmity, then friendship and then love - this is the one constant through all the episodes and all roads MUST lead to Dair.

Dair-for-ever

Can't help coming back to the discussions page! And will keep coming here every week! So I was watching reruns of GG's first seasons (again!) and then selected episodes of the recent ones and they further increased my convictions that Dair and only Dair can and should be end game.

Dair may not be the expected choice, Dair may not be the popular choice, Dair may be the underdog - but hey you know what, sometimes - the unexpected HAPPENS, the popular choice is not always the RIGHT one and, every once in a while, it is the underdog who triumphs! (Contd.)

@Coriander Yeah, I forgot about him, he's just there to sleep with the next female guest star.

@Anonymous In your list of characters that fall in love with every representative of the opposite sex, you forgot to mention Nate who has been doing that through the whole series.

@Ace I hope the Chair fans or any other fans for that matter to leave, I'd like to see Gossip Girl dip under 1 million.

Charmed actually does better than Gossip Girl, which only gets about a 0.2 in repeats, which isn't really good by any standards.

What the CW needs to do is to broaden their audience, they probably need to clean up most of their shows, they need to change things up. Being the 'Gossip Girl' network has not helped them out a bit, they've only gotten worse and worse.

That's the only reason why season 5 will not end with a series finale. They'll use syndication, whether or not its successful, to justify the next and last season. And even though repeat demos show low numbers, that's repeat demos on the same network. Syndicated shows will have an adjusted formula given it'll be on an entirely different time slot and a newer audience based on what other network picks it up. Similiar to ABC/Lifetime when it syndicates Grey's, or TBBT to CBS/TBS/FOX. Even with canceled shows, TNT still profits from syndicated shows like Charmed and Angel.

I completely agree with how mismanaged the CW was. I mean as soon as the WB stopped being what it was, it was a slow decline that has increased in its decline more rapidly as years have progressed.

I was just evoking that if the CHAIR ships perform a mass exodus of the show, GG will still survive up to season 6, where it's likely that it'll be the last season anyway. Having seasons beyond 6 is doubtful.
