Gossip Girl Canadian Promo: Dan vs. Chuck

by at . Comments

In the Canadian promo for Monday's Gossip Girl episode, "The Princess Dowry," the battle lines are clearly being drawn between Dan and Chuck. Suffice it to say, the latter isn't giving up without a fight.

Whether his efforts pay off remains an open question.

How far is Chuck willing to go to dispatch Humphrey as an obstacle to win back the girl of his dreams? Will Dan and Blair build off of what we saw play out in "Cross Rhodes" or be dealt a setback?

Take a look at the promo and see what you think:

@PassTheMacarons,Please you are seeking attention

@pty Don't forget it's just a story, nothing is real. It's only the promo, they like screwing things. Bigger question ! What's love after all ? There are so different kind of love. Love is it chemistry ? Our brain reaction ? or mechanism of evolution to put male and female together for reproduction and rising their spawn.

Even if the writers have to pull out more contrivances to put them together, they've already done so much irreparable damage to Chair fans, even if they are together at the end, it's completely ruined. This. The only way the show is salvageable for me is if this turns out to be a coma dream of Chuck or Blair post-accident. It has become so bad that I only peek in here to see if there is a chance that might be the outcome of this season. I don't watch the show any more, and can't even bring myself to watch the previews. Chuck and Blair were what got me hooked on this show. Without their twisted romantic dynamic this is just another waste of airtime. It's too bad that the potential for some really great storylines went to waste because the writing team wasn't up to it (and that applies to more than just the Chuck and Blair relationship).

@ Anonymous..Where do I get Dan and Lola? I said Lola because i feel like her histerish attire will strike his fancy. It could be anyone though, for all I know Olivia or Vanessa will come back and he will rekindle his crazy love for one of those. Or maybe all those times he hooked up will georgina will come back to him and he'll realize she's his soulmate. It's fricking Dan, he's loved everyone on the show, several people more than once. Vanessa>Serena> Georgina> Serena>Rachel>Olivia>Vanessa> Serena>Blair> [INSERT NAME HERE]

@pty those people who i call chair craizes

@Meep i mean the fans but there is behind the scenes if you buy the DVD or the BLU-RAY seasons of Gossip girl

@honey if you mean that in a good way then thank you honey but if you mean that in a wrong way than you are mean.

@pty But the writers did just that. They can't do love, all they can do is pile on obstacles and make up ridiculous excuses and ruin all of the characters/relationships. Blair's words are meaningless, even if they do get together in the end, it will not be genuine, that's how badly the writers botched them up. Even if the writers have to pull out more contrivances to put them together, they've already done so much irreparable damage to Chair fans, even if they are together at the end, it's completely ruined.

I don't know, I just can't believe that love can be write off just like that, specially such an intense love. I mean after all they have been through, to have it wipped off from day to the other sounds crazy. Some have said here that she's not telling she stopped loving Chuck, but come on, that's kinda how that promo sounds like. I know I'm not alone in this feeling. If you read fanfiction, and I know the fanfic authors there are not only teenagers, you can read all kind of negative reactions to this, like one lady who said she lost sleep over this. I myself had to take a drink after this promo. I know to be so invested in this TV show is not adviceable but that's the way things have turned out. I guess the only thing left to do it's to shrug the shoulders and wait for the resolution.
