Great episode. Did anyone recognize the tune Grumpy was whistling in the dungeon right before he spoke to Snow? So clever!

I think the mystery writer might be the writer of Henry's book, with all the fairytales in it.

Perosnally, I think the writer is they guy who wrote the fairy tale book that Henry has. I mean, it had to come from somewhere right?

The idea that mystery man is the writer or a writer of significance is a given. Obviously the typewriter means more, it's modern America and he is using a typewriter, definitely fairytale potential and how easy he showed Emma indicates there is more to it than meets the eye. Also the theory of being rumplestilken's son, although I don't think so, is probable as he obviously knows more than the characters and the audience and that they left the story of what actually happened after rumple became the dark one was so vague. I am ready for them to reveal the story behind the Queens hatred of Snow, but know that's not going to happen anytime soon. Rumple has something up his sleeve with Snows hair, I'm nervous about it, but look forward to see how Snow finally remembers Prince Charming but am nervous about Regina's hand in their reunion. Awaiting the next episode!

I loved this episode, but still have more questions about everything.
Yes why does the new guy get to go out of storybrook? Why didn't James Father(The KING) recognize snow as a Royal? her father was a Royal, I'm dying to know how her father died, what was so awful that Snow Did to the Evil Quee?

I think the writer may be one of the Grimm brothers! The Grimm brothers made all the fairytales and the guy wonts to write about the town that holds all the characters. It makes sense!

Its might be Sherlock Holmes. The actress who plays Regina has said that he will be making an appearance.

Its Sherlock Holmes. The actress who plays Regina said he would be making an appearance. That's my best guess.

Best line of the night was from Grumpy: "I like my pain. I need my pain. It makes me who I am." R.I.P. Stealthy. While I liked this episode, I am a little puzzled over why the writers expect us to believe that Snow, a princess in her own right, did not know James' dad. They're both royals. So, you'd think they all know each other, party at annual balls, get together for hunting parties, send gifts upon royal births, that sort of thing.

I do hope we see how James got out of his wedding to Abigail. We know she wasn't thrilled either, and I'm looking forward to that whole backstory. I was looking forward to seeing more of Jiminy Cricket. But, I guess David won't be going to marital counseling if he's connecting with MM. Don't really care to speculate on Mr. Easy Rider. Just glad to watch it all unfold.
