@Breazy........The press release for 2.14 said Nicky Chang was played by Dante Basco.

@martinelli..This is what I think is gonna happen. I think chin will get into trouble but I think ultimately lori will be fired because she was hired specifically by the governor to keep the team in check. No way any of the four will go so we shall see.

Amazingalex, this is a quote from examiner.com: "There’s a February sweeps episode where Chin nearly triggers an international incident involving a possible radiological weapon – getting in big trouble with the lieutenant governor – all while struggling to think of something special to get his wife for Valentine’s Day. How about just staying out of prison, pal?"

Can anyone tell me who played the gangster Nicky (the one who had the flamethrower) his voice n face look/sound familiar but I can't place them and I didn't see him listed in the credits

"2.16 :“I Helu Pu*” – When Five-0 nearly causes an international incident while on a case, Lt. Governor Denning tells them one of the team members will pay for it with their job, on HAWAII FIVE-0, Monday, Feb. 13 (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

Oh,thats sounds interesting. Seems more and more likely that Lori will go. Can't really see any of the main 4 losing their jobs and she was meant to keep them on the straight and narrow.

I don't like Lori because she's dull and uninteresting and she adds nothing to the show at all. I don't blame it entirely on the writing, its also down to how Lauren played the character. It's up to the actors to bring the character alive. Grace hasn't been given the most stellar of writing but yet I love what she does with what she gets. She was only on screen for a few minutes and I loved her. Same with Alex, their personalities shone through, I don't get anything from Lauren. I think she was just miscast in the role.
Alex had 2 shows cancelled after a year and he had to just go out and find something else. If Lori does go Lauren will have to do the same, its the nature of the business. As others as have said I'm sure Lauren will be fine, she's probably earned more than I earn in 5 years years since she's been on H50.

Lauren German was vibrant, full of energy in Human Target. I loved her, adore her there. When I heard that she would play the female McGarrett I expected her to impress as she did in Human Target. Lori unfortunately is dull. She isn’t doing anything special. As I’ve previously said I like her physical appearance and therefore I would like her to stay. What I want though is Lori to become more energetic and interesting.

I suspect it's too late to resurrect the character of Lori, the damage has been done and a lot of fans would never be able to watch her without remembering.

Lauren got good reviews for her latest movie, so she clearly does have a forte. I think she was just miscast in this role. She failed to make an impression in the first few episodes when she had a major role (I cite the scene with the Alzheimers mother and the scene in the dive bar as unfortunate examples), and since then she's not been given much to work with dialog- and character-wise - probably not her fault, although if she'd been better-suited to the part she might have made more of it.

It can't be much fun for Lauren knowing her character is so unpopular with many fans. I hope that TPTB solve this by letting her move on to something more positive that suits her better, and don't try to flog a dead horse and carry on with the Lori character.

@Zeo (cont.)...........But, after a couple of episodes an actor looks at what is best and acts accordingly. Lauren did not change until it was too late. The damage has been done, and I do not see them repairing it and changing peoples perception. They blew it, not all LG's fault, but some. She has a voice, if she does not use it she will not last in the industry.
