Grey's Anatomy Review: One Step At A Time
One of the best things about Grey’s Anatomy is that it shows us cases that are so intriguing and heartfelt that you can’t change the channel. This is exactly what happened on the latest installment, "This Magic Moment."
The docs worked on a case of conjoined twins, while other drama continued around the hospital. What else is new, right? Time to discuss...
Separation. The big case this week involved conjoined twin girls. Richard snaking Alex’s procedures? So not cool. Alex has always been the underdog, but it's about time for him to shine. This man needs some confidence - and a lady - now.
Arizona being a crazy monster led to the short scene of Calzona that we have had since the show returned. These two keep it light and funny and have been more enjoyable to watch in recent episodes than previous seasons.
The best part about this surgery? It got all the fifth years back in the gallery to complain about everyone else. It was pretty much awesome and they definitely don’t do this enough anymore. Some of the better scenes are those of all the residents together... being residents.
One Step At A Time. Ben and Bailey are back! The two have gotten back together and are definitely a much better fit than she was with Eli. You have to give it to Ben, the guy is funny. Meredith as the buffer between these two was perfect. Bailey was right; she did used to have the husband/baby/career and she lost it. Now Meredith has it, so let’s hope after all the stuff she has been through this will last. Having Meredith and Bailey work together now that the clinical trial mess has passed was fun. These two always play well off of each other and I wish they had more scenes together.
Bailey and Ben are super cute, though, and deserver their own official moniker. So let’s heart it, Grey’s fans. B Squared? The B Sharps? Hit up the Comments section with your suggestions!
The Continuing Death. This was something I did not expect. It had been two weeks since Henry had died and Teddy was still having Cristina on repeat explaining the surgery. It made sense. The two most perfect, anal, focused heart surgeons are so alike. Teddy has never been high on my list of favorite characters, but her friendship with Cristina has really made me like her much more.
Here is hoping these two can stand by each other, considering Teddy is now a widow and Cristina’s marriage is shaky at best.
Side Notes
- How awkward was the small scene between Lexie and Sloan? I felt so terrible for her, especially after she spent all day updating the parents instead of operating on the twins.
- Meredith and Derek are the cutest parents ever! The video camera and Zola walking? Adorable.
- Ellen Pompeo is totally on her game this season. My girl crush is rising, quickly.
- Good for April for having a voice. I was getting a little tired of hearing the Henry Surgery on repeat too.

Meredith: Get this baby out of me safely and you can have whatever you want.

I mean c'mon, poor girl, she did everything she could do! But when Teddy said to Yang that she shouldn't blame herself, I smiled. And cried. Beautiful moment. I like Teddy more and more. Speaking of a beautiful moment; Zola. She's so cute! Love her.
And an awkward moment: Little Grey and McSteamy. Oh, how I felt so sorry for the girl! All she wants is Mark, and now that he is over her (probably not)..
I mean, even Derek noticed Lexie give Mark long stares in the OR... All I need now is some Little Grey and McSteamy love.
A GREAT episode!

I think this episode was one of the best one ever!
I loved the fact that Arizona was bossing everyone around; MONSTER!
And how Callie teasing her, I love those two.
I love that Bailey and Meredith are becoming friends again, I like it that way, so tired of Bailey being so angry at Meredith.. And is it only me, or has Meredith put up her A game, she's good! I love her in this season, she's more mature, responsible, not that "me, me, me, me" thing anymore, and everything is good between her and McDreamy.
Teddy making Christina repeat everything that happened in the OR when Harry died was crucial

This show is not what it used to be. It's as if they have run out of dialog. There are no more meaningful conversations. Only stupid surgeries. They had a conjoined surgery in season 2. It's as if they are re-running ideas because they have run out. It's time for Shonda to step aside or look for outside ideas. Somthing tells me her ego will keep that from happening until she runs this show into the ground. Also, the scene with Teddy...which didn't we hate her from Lipstick Jungle as that show was cancelled...but grilling Christina over and over...where would that ever happen in real life. Time to resort to dancing babies and computer generated frogs ala Allie McBeal. Oy!

when did this show get so pathetically ridiculous?? The characters used to be complex, quirky and smart. They look stupid and whiney.

Bailey's romantic storyline is SO boring. Teddy having Christina repeat the surgery over & over again was just plain weird, and Weber stealing Alex's surgeries was out of character for him. Did not like this episode at all!

I was so proud of April when she stud up to Teddy! She felt the pain and the torture, and who wouldn't blow up!?
Love the Alex & Chief chemistry!
Lexie so useless through the whole episode and than the blow up in the final moments!
I love THE SHEPARDS! What a great family! :DDDD

The look as Lexi walked away said it all. Will we see a scene between them very soon mmmm maybe valentine's episode will Lexi be the babysitter for Sofia and Zola? while the adults have some *FUN*!
Webber in this episode was a butt, didn't like what he did to Alex at all, it is a teaching hospital not a i'm gonna steal your ground breaking shining moment hospital. Arizona was a bully, Callie put her back in her place at the end was hilarious.
Teddy/Cris repetitively going over Henry's operation, god damn i was annoyed after the 1st one, and would of ranted outta the OR on the second day and told Teddy to go have time off and grieve. Time to blow up at Owen now.

Loved McFamily, sort of scene's that you watch over and over. Mer/Zola in the viewing while watching daddy work was gorgeous and when everyone clapped at the success, Zola clapping 2 great.
Ben and Bailey=Benley. B Squared=Bones. I would of snapped as well, would love to see a scene of Ben/Tuck now playing with transformer's.

The repetition of Henry's surgery was maddening, but Cristina I gues unerstood why she had to do it. Teddy had to process everything as a surgeon as well as a wife. It was truly heartbreaking at the end.
I say, more MerDer and Zola happiness, more cuteness I say! I for one am tired of Meredith being sad and tragic, give the girl some happiness for goodness sake!
