I' m tired of my favorite couple suffering through such ridiculous story lines. Ed and Leighton were amazing the other night though ...and how gorgeous is Nate? More close ups please...

Omgqt

after all Blair drama, Nate storyline is so refreshing (and i enjoy watching him in every scene so so so much

I think that Blair was lying when she told people her reason for not being with Chuck was because of her pact with God.

I think she found out that the car accident wasn't a car accident, and she thought Luis had caused it (she seemed scared with him in that last scene). She told Dan that it wasn't an accident, and that's the big secret he's having to keep from people.

But it will come out now that Nate finds out that the hit was really for him, which means that Blair is free to love Chuck, because she no longer needs to fear his death if she goes off with him.

My prediction.

Even Cecily von Ziegesar critized the pact with God thing in a Tweet after the episode

I am honestly disappointed with the way story turned out. And not just because i am a Chair shipper. I remember the time when their relationship or lack of it meant something. This pact with God Blair made is not something you can easily fit into GG world. I think i would have better chance swallowing this "his life depended on me" if there was Jack ( like the only living relative ) and a possible transfusion, transplantation etc. that came with some strings attached. You know, keeping Chuck alive only to make his life miserable. Not something we haven't seen already. Or even the "God deal" but done a little deeper. Like a serious PTS with some paranoia and stuff. At this point i really have no idea where the story will leave us... And i am not saying that as a good thing. I suggest that writers visit FanFiction page. There are far better plots. I have a feeling this one was written in a matter of seconds on a toilet break. :(

I'm a catholic and by no means do I find the faith part if this ridiculous. Everyone's right to believe in a religion or not to believe should be respected. What I have a problem with is Blair's reasoning. How could she even think God would want her to marry another man she doesn't love, and would kill off her true love if she doesn't? Mybe I'd understand not seeing Chuck anymore if she was already married to Louis, but here all she has to do is break off the engagement! Even if she thinks she can't be with chuck because she would be 'punished' she could at least let Louis go and be on her own. I actually think that would be more reasonable rather than vowing at your wedding what you know to be untrue! What happened to strong Queen B?

Blair doesn't even treat Dan like a friend unless she needs a shoulder to cry on or is out of tampons, then it's back to "we're not friends, Humphrey". That shït wouldn't fly with me or any self-respecting human.

@Thekate
Personally I understand why Chuck would humiliate her, he nearly died after she confessed undying love for him, he wakes up to find out she no longer can be with him and is avoiding him not even giving him a reason (because it's so absurd!). I'd be a little confused and pi***d off too!
He deserves better...
And I just don't care about the prince
