Excellant episode furthering a number of long term story lines. A few comments in the I know its only a TV show BUT vein. How does Kalinda week after week solve cases so easily that have the entire Chicago PD stumped? Didn't Alicia violate attorney-client privilege by allowing Louis access to her files? She didn't seem too upset she blew the case. I hope the client doesn't ask too many questions about how the email was found. Finally the Chicago media would have had a field day if they found out that Peter mobilized the entire Chicago PD to find his daughter and turned out she was only being baptized.

I too would like to see the writers bring Will and Alicia back together somehow. Honestly, I think they are the real love story of this show, and the only romantic pairing that makes us really feel for them. The breakup scene was just heartbreaking and showed that there is still so much love there. As always, it's just "bad timing"

Brilliant last moment when the shadow of Diane crossed Will's face and she handed him a drink and then proceeded to tell him "he did the right thing" (by breaking up with Alicia) when of course she was the one who ended it, not Will. He sits there, drink in hand silent......the twist of course is that it is always the male who breaks hearts and pretty much Will was in that mold....but the table turned and now he is in love....brilliant writing!

    I done it!

I love the show and am glad that she and will split up.

I agree that the Grace missing storyline was contrived but the breakup was inevitable. Will and Alicia can't keep going like they were. I see another direction I hope this can go in. She mopes around for about a month and the kids figure out what is going on and tell her to go ahead and be with Will. They want her to be happy. Will tells her he loves her and they will make a plan. They can't stay away from each other. She takes the job at Canning's firm and ends up fighting against Will in court--and maybe not at home.

But that's just my fantasy. Ask me about my rewritten ending of Gone with the Wind.

The Good Wife has become one of my favourite TV shows. I only started to follow the Show in the middle of Season 2. After this latest episode 10, I find that the writers have shortchanged the viewers to some extent. The writers have created this great couple (Will & Alicia) that viewers love to watch but all the while, since beginning of Season 3 there were not much words exchanged between Will and Alicia. Even when Alicia decided to break-up, there wasn't any 'conversation' or 'discussion' that took place. It is very unreal to me because in real life, when two people care for each other, they will talk.

I agree with the whole abduction storyline. I thought it was well done up to the point where Kalinda found Grace getting baptized and then it was disappointing. I'm not sure what I wanted the outcome to be but it certainly wasn't that.

And I have to agree with everyone so far that I HATED HATED the ending. After waiting this long for Will/Alicia, I truly hope this is not the end of them. They deserve more of a shot than what they've gotten so far. She needs to divorce Peter and have a real relationship with him. I agree with Matt that the current status of their relationship is not going to work long term, but that doesn't mean they can't be together. And to Will: Come on, fight for the one woman you truly love. Sometimes I am so frustrated that no one on this show ever appears to truly talk to each other. I will be SO disappointed if she goes back to Peter.

That last scene of Alicia and Will breaking up, broke my heart. It was such a sweet moment.
I really hope her and Will find a way to get back together, I love them too together.

The "missing Grace" highlighted how incredibly awesome Julianna is. That slow rising panic of seeing that many calls coming in from her daughter, hearing a strange voice mail.. not being able to locate her, no one knowing where she is.. and then the one that pushed her over.. Grace got into a car with a guy that no one knew. She played it perfectly.

Even if the plot was contrived or rang false, Julianna was dead on perfect. I adore that woman. :)

I really didn't like seeing Will and Alicia break up, but I get it, she's The Good Wife, good Mom, good person etc., and is feeling guilty about having fun with Will while feeling her kid's need more of her attention, but what about when Peter takes them on the weekend? Or all of these long hours they're wotking at the same company, couldn't they have worked something out? I love Will, but I'm a little dissapointed that he's a big shot lawyer and partner at his own firm but doesn't have the backbone to stand up and tell her how much he loves her! Hopefully that will come soon, I'm just hoping the show doesn't trash his image and have him sleep with Caitlin or various women and Alicia goes back to Peter out of desperation...
Love Kalinda but that story line is just geting too weird! Is Carey and what's her name going to sleep with her? Is this heading towards a threesome? I can't see anything good coming from that...Hopefully that girl will leave soon and we'll get to see Carey b

Agree with T.H.Press. Wtiters what are you doing. If Alicia is so weak as to go back to Peter I,m out of here.Remember reading a piece where the makers said Alicia through her troubles becomes a stronger person.By crawling back to Peter she will be defeating her purpose.Wonder what Alicia will think when she finds out about her RAT of a hubby and his dealings with Will. The Will/Alicia storyline is the sub-plot of the whole show so will have to hang on to the fact that this is a big bump in the road.As for Grace the less said the better. Carol.

Disappointed of Will Alicia break up. We all know that Alicia is a good mom but what does breaking up with Will means? She's not going to be in any relationship again? Looks like she is not a good friend to Will when Will has helped her so much In every season she breaks Will's heart and when she decided that her marriage is over, she played with Will's feeling by not admitting her true feelings for him when he clearly does so and on top of that, she got Will into trouble by making Peter investigating him when they had an affair together. She sounds like a big nuisance to me. Will should not be with her. infact he should have stayed with Tammy

I thought tonight's episode was awesome, sad for Alicia and Will but awesome. I was hoping that somehow Alicia would find out that it was Kalinda that found Grace so their relationship could mend some, but hopefully it will come out in the future. Also, not enough Cary in this episode, though he has been getting a ton of face time lately so maybe the writers thought it was time to focus on Alicia a bit more. Lastly, I liked Dana in the beginning but now she's kind of turning into a poor man's, or should I say woman's, Kalinda. She tries to be so flirty and pretend she's bi-curious but she can't hold a candle to Kalinda. There's something about her that I don't trust. She's playing both sides a little bit too much. I think she's going to stab Cary in the back or something and Kalinda will be there to pick him up when he falls. Kalinda knows she needs to quit playing and tell Cary how she feels about him, stop playing hard to get, and handle her business!

While I certainly see where you're coming from Matt, I disagree that Grace's actions were merely contrivances. Isn't her failing to tell her mom or brother about what she was doing because they don't share her new found beliefs? This was an activity she wouldn't have told anyone, so I felt it made sense in this case.

  16. Toni

All around wonderful show, and I love the plot twists and turns....I will miss Alicia and Will and their chemistry and the fact that he has discovered he loves her....

I was very disappointed in the way the previews heightened "The Grace being kidnapped" ordeal. I do however love that Kalinda was the one to find Grace and hopefully this might end the alicia and kalinda feud. This was the first episode that i didnt hate caitlyn. I loved her and Martha in court and hopefully it will continue in future episodes. Another thing i really liked about this episode was the many returning guest actors from the last season (wendy, wiley,Canning etc...). I love this show and cant wait to see what will happen with Will. (being investigated & the break up)

The ending scene with Will and Diane just broke my heart. It was as painful as it was gorgeous.

Other than that, I agreed with the reviewer, Matt, about the missing-Grace storyline. It was very poorly executed, but the blame should be laid solely at the writers' feet, since it was wonderfully acted as always. It was stretching the believability factor a little too far, since the type of phones you could conceivably dial with your butt have screen locks to prevent exactly such an incident, and Grace's butt must have been extremely accurate, since to call her mom, her butt would have had to press the number on her speed-dial that represented her mother as well as the call key. Repeatedly. Without calling anyone else on her speed-dial list.

There were so many interesting story lines in this episode, like Eli and the Kaitlyn vs. Martha drama. I just feel that this episode was overly congested. And the story, it just didn't feel natural. It felt choppy. It felt disjointed. It lacked a

I'm so sad. Not only because I thought Will and Alicia were actually going to be together as a formal couple, but because that abduction bluff was really lame. Honestly. I agree with the review. They put up all that show to lead this ep to the break up scene. I don't know. It just sucks.
    Two things can happen now:
    1. Alicia and Peter get back together and take care of their kids. Then I'll stop watching TGW.
    2. Alicia and Peter don't get back together, but neither do Alicia and Will. I'll still stop watching TGW.
The whole point of this show was Alicia. The good wife. Letting go off Will means going back to where she was 2 years ago. Vulnerable, alone, hurt. It just can't work this way, unless the message the writers are trying to send is "even if your hubby cheats on, you'd rather stand by him, otherwise you'll get hurt over and over again"
To the TGW writers: I love this show. Make it better. Please.

I don't care TGW anymore! Thanks for the review!
