Please don't tell me that you forgot too, that Damon was driven to Elena too because of her resemblance to Katherine, difference is that Stefan reached her first from high school. Damon followed and observed her in the graveyard sent the minion crow follow everywhere Elena was, and finally managed to stay near them by playing around with Caroline.

delena fans please stop bitching.You all love delena ok good for you,but please stop saying same shit again and again,enough is enough.Yeah stelena don't have epic moments like delena,because stefan didn't kill her brother,he didn't sleep with her mother,he didn't abuse her bff's and didn't try to kill them.he sacrificed everything for damon and elena,Stefan saved damon's ass 1237974337 times and people still hate him.It's really interesting

OMFG!! Stelena dont have points/reasons as to why they are the best couple..they dont have epic moments,heart racing moments..Damons the one who always rescues Elena,Stelena dont have playful moments or fights like Delena have..its so sad that its stelenas time to defend their relationship and all they can do is talk about DELENA..DELENA FTW!!

I agree with most of the others apparently. This article just cements stelena is all but over. There isn't an arguement for why Elena should always be Stefans. They were "perfect" for a young female who just tragically lost her parents. Nobody can ever take away what stelena meant to each other but time heals all wounds. She was immediately thrown with him and why? Because they both liked to write? Because she looked like Katherine and was human? I'm not denouncing the original pairing because she NEEDED him but it was all about circumstance. There was a puppy type of love there and all heer quotes of love and always Stefan are null and void. She didn't even know what love was, she was lost. She will always hold a place in her heart for Stefan but she was never IN a deep love with him. She was only with him for maybe 6 months, I'm sorry but that combined with everything else doesn't make them epuc or endgame or even true love. I was a fan early on but It was obvious the co

I agree with the other posters about it being ironic that most of the points were about Delena. I mean, Stelena was thrown together so quickly that I'm not even sure WHY they're together. Everyone keeps talking about how they have this "epic romance" but what is it? This article can't even answer it. Sure, he helped her when she was vulnerable and down about her parents, but there has to be more than that and there isn't.

i am a Filipino fan of TVD! And i am always fascinated by Elena and Stefan's tandem. i honestly do not know who end up together. American series are far different from all the "teleserye" i have ever watched in my country. i am used of seeing the leading man end up with her leading lady. However, American series is quite different.. Say for instance, Dawson's Creek, at the beginning there were Dawson and Joey so in love with each other and in the end Joey ended up with Pacey. Well it shows that western series are somewhat unpredictable. needless to say, it's too early to predict who gets whom. At the end of the day, I would still love to see ELANA AND STEFAN TOGETHER.. puhlease..

I love both stelena and delena.... paul wesley and ian somerhalder lol, but i do believe delena is the show and without it there would be no fan base.

I think it's really funny that most of the comments made above were about Delena... not Stelena. Stefan and Elena's relationship ended long ago and aside from the writer's half-assed attempts to have stefan and elena stare longingly into each other's eyes, it's still over! Stelena lovers are just kidding themselves. it's been DELENA for a while now.....
even though there are tough times in vampire diaries, the stelena couple is always the right one for me. I support all stelena fans and I will always love this show so much. It sucks that I have to wait untill January for the next episode when I hate breaks. It doesn't matter as long as this show is always #1. XD =) 3)

Funny how most of this was about Delena. Your arguement is "it will always be Stefan". They knew each other for months, had no build up and she was a broken, sad young girl when she met him. Let me be clear, I loved stelena in season one but she and he are painfully similar. However to say what Delena isn't as a main arguement is weak. They haven't even begun yet, so its fruitless to tear up the potential pairing. Obviously the fanbase is overwhelmingly pro delena and I have to admit, I can't get enough of Delena. The only thing constant in life CHANGE. Elena is already experiencing that. BTW I'm a Stefan fan first and he is better without her!

i completly agree, they are perfect for each other, and they all know it. stefans 'ripper' phase is just trying to test there love for each other, and when stefans back(CANT WAIT)everything will be back to normal. there are so many other reasons for stefan and elena to win, i cant write them now, but i just hope people realise they're made for eachother and stefan is SO hot!

Stelena has had my vote since day one. They're absolutely perfect for one another.
I've always loved the way Stefan and Elena look at each other. Although it doesn't appear that they're going to win this contest, one constant remains: Stefan is the hottest vamp EVER... just sayin'.
Damon: She's strong and crafty and you'll die. Elena: At least I'll die trying.
