@amazingalex you're welcome No she is not his girlfriend he is happy married but Lori is his creation someone on FanForum had posted this:
(I am more convinced than ever that this was his "screw you" to the anti-Lori faction. The only thing he is seemingly not getting that he is screwing over Grace Park as well. Pushing Grace aside to give "his creation" more screentime is a slap in her face more than the fans. PL's ego is going to bring this show down. And he has no right to play with the careers of AOL, SC, DDK, GP and MO just to prove a point.)
Maybe these poster has a good point I hope in future episodes that we get less Lori and more Kono.

Tamara...thank you!! I have been searching and searching cause people keep saying she is temporary. Why in the world would he defend a character that the fans are so upset over??? does he want his show to fail? Is she his girlfriend or something? He is playing with fire.
Someone posted that we are essentially hostage right now cause we dont want to stop watching but lori is ruining the show. It made me think that maybe I would have to stop watching my favorite show if the writers care so little for its fans. That would make me really sad but apparently ratings are the only thing that they listen to. I hope it does not come down to that.

Lauren have said that on SOTB september 10 2011 I was looking on YouTube for you but could find it so fast. I know there was a interview with her also Peter has said that Lauren was cast for 12 episodes and if it would work well maybe for a whole season. We all know Peter is a big fan of Lauren so I have a feeling she will stay sadly!!!!

How do people know LG was only brought on for 12 epis. I cant find that anywhere online. I seriously need to see it in writing cause I cannot take lori anymore. Can someone tell me how we know this????? I need some reassurance.
I will not stop watching because of her but I will stop watching if they put her with steve. That will ruin the entire show for me and I will shut it off.

The Steve/Jenna scenes were my favourite of the show. I loved the conclusion to Jenna's storyline and the actress was great. Really gut wrenching moments between her and Steve and amazing acting from both Alex and Larissa.
The beating was a bit too unrealistic though. Steve had so many hard hits to his face and head he would have had a broken nose or definitley passed out. The writers could have easily toned it down to make it a bit more realistic, and it would have been just as enjoyable.
Wo Fat was great and I can't wait for the day Steve comes up against him again. I want to see Steve make him pay for all the people he has killed, including Jenna.
Peter Lenkov's assurances that Lori wouldnt be replacing Kono seems more difficult to believe. Week after week we see Kono marginalised and in the background while Lori gets to play action barbie, and very unconvincinly.
As usual she was a waste of space in this episode. I thought she was there to prevent the team from doing c

Good Episode, but WE NEED MORE GRACE PARK!!! Kono is just too badass
Reading the commnets regarding the Lori situation and I am so flabergasted.
I really hope that most people on this board are wrong and she was not brought in to whiten the cast, on a show based in HAWAII of all places. And if Lenkov is pandering to viewers opposed to inter-racial relationships he is beyond redemption and just needs to be flogged.
I hadnt even considered that there might be a casting couch situation happening with one of the higher ups and Ms German. I really hope that Hollywood has put that quid pro quo nonsense behing them but hell, you never know.
Anyway, I think the fans may have shot themselves in the foot with previous whinning regarding other characters; Steves sister Mary, the CIA agent and to some extent Catherine. It maybe came across as Alex O'loughlin rabid fans refusing to let a woman near him or bizarrely steve/danno shippers forcing the gay partners angle. In any case, it is now clear that core fans are being ignored.

Ok...So Lori's character needs some work. Some one please write better for her or I see a character death coming soon. There is definitely some potential but please let her have some chemistry with the cast. That hug at the end...It might have worked if you stuck some friendly/flirty banter between her and Steve in previous episodes. That hug came from no where. NO CONNECTION WHAT SO EVER. Absolutely love Danno and the bromance. Kono and chin are great. Love Joe- please keep him. Max- Needs some more interaction with the cast...but would love if he stayed. WORK ON LORI!! Even Jenna's character had more depth and connection in the short time she was there.
Here's hoping H5O keeps on.....

I think I have found Peter Lenkov's master plan. we already know Lori is a lot like Steve so he can return to the seals. next we will find she is an ex cop from NJ who moved to be near her daughter, see you later Danny. when she arrived in Hi she went to work for HPD and was falsly accused of stealing money, Back to HPD Chin. I was very surprised to find out she was champion surfer in Malibu as a teenager. Kono has several options she could join HPD and be Chins partner, got to work for IA as an undercover agent, or marry Ben and manage the Coral Prince surf team. Now we have the Lori Weston show for season 3 which will be canceled in week 3. finnaly realizing his mistake PL will reassemble the team in Maui to bring down Lori who was working Wo Fat.

You know, I have given up on the Lori character. I don't like the character at all but I do like Lauren German like I've said before. I still like the show. I think the writers could have done so much with the Lori character, but they just went about it all the wrong way. It's probably too late to start in a new direction now.

I do not hate Lori more, it completely indifferent to me. If producers want to keep it in the show that he does but not by sacrificing the screen time of the main characters, especially that of Kono. I still have trouble digesting the fact that Kono was absent during the final scene of episode 10 ...
All speculations around the character of Lori created the buzz, it serves to advertise the series, the use of buzz marketing involvement spectactors and fans to get their way that is increasing exponentially the number of spectators ... just look at the audience share recorded by H5-0 from the beginning of season 2, all the waffle around the character of Lori only increase the audience share and it is a reality !
From the beginning, we do not like the character of Lori and yet after 10 episodes we're still here ...
For my part, I do not want to stop watching the show because of Lori, and many of us to think ... It's sad to say but as long as the audience share will be good, Lori will

It was a great show last night with the original 4. Even the additional Seal Team, Quinn and Jimmy Buffett fit in perfectly with the stars of the show. However, it showed once again that Lori doesn't fit in with anyone, not even guest stars! Her character is supposed to be a Profiler, but she goes to North Korea and knows how to assemble rifles in order to save Steve!
Give the fans a break!

You know what the problem is?
Adding new characters was never the problem.
But after every episode being aired, the majority of the viewers complained about the same character over and over again, that's the problem!!!!!
I don't know what the producers and showrunners really care about, the show or just their pathetic egos.
If they continue disregarding the voices of major viewers, they'd better get ready to kiss goodbye to Season 3.

Great episode - except for that Lori character - so agree with H50 Truth and Marina! The show with its' core four had great chemistry as they were, but then the writers decide to fix what wasn't broken and bring in this wooden actress. I'm annoyed that all those close ups of Lori are taking away from the other characters' screen time - the writers are trying to ram Lori down our throats and I find it so annoying.

Remember, people this is just a TV show...
Did anyone else feel like the episode Ki'ilua could have been the season or even the series finale? It just had that vibe to me.
While I can agree Lori Weston isn't vital for the show, she does have a role in Five-O. Her job is to keep Steve on a leash for Governor Sam Denning, once the team proves Wo Fat killed Governor Jameson, Weston could be as good as gone. Take into consideration most police procedural shows give off the impression the FBI is dull and straight faced, Lauren German is pulling that off, if she was a smartass or giddy all the time we'd be twice as upset. She's been in 9 episodes and still hasn't been added to the credits, her face time has also been leveling out slowly with the rest of the cast. Give it till season 2 finale to let them finish whatever storyline they have then you guys can all throw a conniption if she returns for season 3.

I'm soooooooo sorry for Grace Park, she is completely background now.I don't know what's going on behind the scenes either. Was that her request to cut Kono's screentime or just because she's an Asian who couldn't please the white audiences?
Okay,I am totally done with the goddamn Lori show. How about that?
But still I hope this show could live long, coz AOL is such a brilliant actor,we all see he's been doing everything he could to make the show successful, and after all what he's been though he deserves a hit TV show.

I am so disappointed that the writers chose to have Chin announce his engagement without Kono present. In past episodes they made it clear that Kono did not approve of Melia, and even though she recently told Chin she was okay with them seeing each other again it would have been nice to see her reaction to them being engaged again.
Of course, the way the writing has been lately...they will probably have Lori tell her in the next new episode....

Good episode, pretty badass, and nice to see the whole Steve/Wo Fat story line back. Just my issue with Lori doesn't seem to go away. I know some people are tired of hearing the whole "I hate Lori" thing but I feel that each episode gets worse with her. No disrespect to Lauren German, but no matter how hard I tried to like her character on the show, it just never clicked with me, even with 10 episodes in. I just can't seem to understand why the writers or producers would completely cut out Chin & mostly Kono's screen time, replacing them with Lori. Having 5 main people on the team makes it hard to balance each character's fair share of time in 1 hour, but why pick on Kono? Sometimes I miss how the team was just the original 4 like in the first season. And what happened to Masi Oka? He was permanently added in the beginning credits and wasn't even in this episode. I hope things change for the better and if they still keep Lori for the rest of the season, at least cut down her parts

Sometimes I miss how the team was just the original 4 like in the first season. And what happened to Masi Oka? He was permanently added in the beginning credits and wasn't even in this episode. I hope things change for the better and if they still keep Lori for the rest of the season, at least cut down her parts
