sorry, stand corrected, Greer played Herb's sister, and was a fun foil for Charlie, but for Walden, a wasted plot point.

Watched first ep. of season 9. It got a snort out of me... once. I didn't tune in to the show last night for the first time in 8 years. And after reading the review/synopsis, I'm glad I didn't. it would be very easy to bring Charlie back... make this all a dream of Alan's or something... But if that idiot Lorre can't get off of his High Horse then this show is going to wind up in the trash heap. Oh wait... it's already there.

I too would like ot offer my two and a half cents...I was TOTALLY a Two and a Half Men fan. Still watch all the reruns on other networks. Do the CBS high-ups really think this thirty something half-wit is going to replace Charlie Harper??? Come on!!! I am really trying to like the show because I do like the other characters as well but Walden ( I won't say Ashton becuase he is just playing the part) is really bringing the show down. I may try one more time but I am really doubthful I will stsay loyal to the new show. I will just have to settle for the reruns on the other channels. I say raise Charlie from the dead or at least bring in a similar character. The new show is a SNORE!!!!

OH my GOD, doesn't ANYONE in Hollywood know how to thread a storyline? "part 2" absolutely blew (it). Do they not remember Judy Greer played Judith's SISTER Bridget hot for Charlie. They could have written Ashton hot for her and "needing" Alan's connection with Judith to get Bridget's attention. There goes that possible thread. Charlie's world revolved around his Malibue beach house. Now what, we move to Walden's old mansion and Alan plays wingman for Walden. Wait, do I hear DVR scheduled recordings being deleted? I think so.

This show is definitely "gropping in the dark". Jake didn't seem to even have a part. The introduction of his friend Eldridge last year improved his role...but Alan seems worn out by the whole affair. I'm sorry but the Character Walden just isn't believable. From CLASS ACT to SOAP OPERA!!!

I think if you like 'Kutcher Comedy' the new, drooling, mindless 2xHm is just for you. Rather than laughs and lots'a drinking, adult-style, we're handed dopey leftovers from "that 80's show". What kind of shampoo did I use? Where's my fluffy toilet paper? Wah. Bluuch.

IF one had never seen the original Two and a Half Men, and IF he/she were watching this version for the first time, it would still be a DUD. The characters are off; chemistry is off; the script/story line is off. Too bad, too, since the actors are all talented in their own ways… just not together in this story line. And it is doubly bad for those who saw the original with Charlie…bring him back. Because, the present version would never make it as an original TV show in this new season. It just doesn’t have it.

I haven't seen last couple of episodes (hmm, maybe seasons?) of the show, cause Charlie (and his shorts and socks) were boring me to death.. Now I can finally enjoy it again :)

Tried to give the show another try after the 1st episode.I won't be watching again after last nights disappointment. He is as dumb as he was on That 70's show and does not have the chemistry with the other cast that Charlie Sheen had.Let the show go already,it's not the same and a big waste of my time last night.I won't waste another second on that show,it's over.

I did not like the first episode; however, I loved this last one. I laughed through many of the scenes. Writers keep up the good work!!

This episode made me laugh so hard. The show was jam-packed with adventures between Cryer and Kutcher. It is like watching a 30-minute comedy adventure movie. Die-hard Charlie fans, just watch something else like Dancing with the stars, then mope and rant on Monday nights like Charlie does with the creator/writer of the show and the hand the fed Charlie. Like Charlie, like fans. Always ranting. I am watching this comedy adventure between the two men each week (Cryer and Kutcher). Jake is half of the adventure. Jake is not funny because he has grown out of being a lovable boy but he needs to be half of the funny adventure.

I dont agree with any of you. I love the new show and I'm glad they did not try to get another actor that was just as rude and obnoxious as Charlie. I think Ashton's naive puppy dog act works well because of the age difference. And as an older woman that still appreciates attractive younger men, I think Berta's voice over comments about Ashton are hilarious. The show is still funny. I dont miss Charlie AT ALL !! And I think Ashton's comic timing is excellent. Give the guy a break, he is coming into a show that has been on for many years. Stepping into another actor's shoes (and out of his own clothes) which I find exciting. But, where is the 1/2 man? He has only had walk ons so far.

Time to bring back Charlie Sheen before you permanently ruin what WAS the BEST SHOW ON T.V. - I never missed an episode!!!! Now the show is really lame- Ashton doesn`t belong there- I won`t continue watching and from the reviews on line and facebook- either will anyone else!!!
BRING BACK CHARLIE SHEEN!!!!!!!!

Someone should have put this series in the coffin with Charlie since it is a smelly roadkill at best. @nd show was worse than the first. Supporting cast is still good but can't carry AK since he has never impressed me. Good bye 2&1/2 men, hello DWTS....

CBS should have pulled the plug on this show when Charlie Sheen left. I'm not a huge Charlie Sheen fan but between all the actors (characters) the show worked and it was funny. It seems like Ashton Kutcher just went from being the moron on "That 70's Show," to the moron on "Two and a Half Men." Give it up CBS.... it's over!

I'm not buying this whole "Charlie is dead" thing. Slipping on a platform into the path of an incoming train...exploding like a balloon full of meat??? Implying Rose did the dirty deed for Charlie's indiscretions???? Naaah, that's not how Rose rolls. She has got Charlie imprisoned somewhere and is tormenting him at her leisure.

The show is just not funny. The other actors know that it is out of sync and it shows. Should have give that roll to John Stamos who would have rocked it.

WOW! What a disappointment. Didn't watch last week but saw last night and it was really really bad. The scene on the balcony with Cryer sleeping on top of AK was disgusting. Sorry guys but that show will never make it without Charlie and that's just a fact!

I agree with everyone! Ashton's character is just toooooo immature for this role. No one could possibly be that stupid. It's not even funny. Perhaps it is time to throw in the towel and say the show is done, or find new writers. Nothing recommends a continued need to watch this show. The first week I thought let's wait for week 2. Week 2 was much worse! They have changed the chemistry and not in a good way.
It was time to kill Charlie. Jake outgrew his funniness. Show was getting boring.
New show is absolutely horrible.
Time to KILL the show!

Very disappointed. Both episodes were awful, really awful. Not worth watching. Ashton was a poor choice as the leading character, his character is too weak and his childlike behaviour wont' be able to keep the Charlie Sheen led viewer age group interested. Count me out for watching any more episodes.

I concur with the majority of comments here. It is just not the same. I sit there waiting to laugh but just not happening. I think it would have even been better if they hadn't replaced Charlie just let the supporting cast have their own show with more Jake, Rose, Berta, Allan and the mother.
Walden: Hey, what are you doing..? Alan: Just going down memory lane. This is a photo book Lyndsey gave me, oh look, here we are at the Santa Monica pier, "O...
