I don't see Eric & Sookie getting together because of his amnesia as cheating. Though some details are different, that is how they first get together in the book. Then they split after he gets his memory back (and loses the memories of the days he spent with Sookie.) They eventually get back together, though Sookie briefly dates another guy in between (John Quinn, the weretiger.) As much as I love Eric & Sookie, I would love to see them do something with the Sookie/Quinn storyline. Enough has changed from the books that I'm not sure how they would work him in, but I'd love to see it.

I love Pam, she's hot! She resembles Angelina Jolie before Brad Pitt and Billy Bob Thornton. Don't you kill her character.

I am so into Eric and Sookie. It just sucks that after Eric gets his memory back, he will have no recollection of their sex. I want them get married in Season 5. I want Bill to find someone else. Jessica can just die, she's a slut anyway. Jason too short for Jessica. Jason needs someone Asian like Tara's hot girlfriend.

Jessica won't die.
They left the episode on a cliffhanger for a reason.
We've seen worse in the season one finale when Bill walked out into the sun to save Sookie from Rene.
Jason will save her before she burns. Speaking of Jason, his car was parked right out the front of Sookie's house, yet, he ran to Bill's house?

I have read the books and I'll tell you that I'm not a fan of the way Charlaine Harris writes but thankfully someone took her garbage and made it sexy, interesting and truly entertaining. Alan Ball transforms the one-dimensional characters into characters we can care about.
As for not killing off main characters, then you don't know Alan Ball's style too well! We'll have to see... did you catch all the foreshadowing in Jessica's scenes with Jason and Bill and Hoyt's comment about not being able to be without her? Seems like buildup to something major for Jessica!

Personally, I like Alan Ball's creative approach to the novels. After all, it would be pretty boring and unimaginative to just follow the books.
As for the characters: Jess, Tara, Pam, or Jesus dying off... Not going to even remotely happen. Even a moron knows you don't kill off main characters, even annoying or superficial characters because they serve a purpose in the story. Who would serve as a condescending or high morale character that we would steer our anger towards?
Jess is a fan favourite. While I hear that Harris is possibly going to write a whole arc on the Pam character in the novels.

I'm sorry, was there a typo in your last thought? The part about Pam and Jessica's fans being exposed? I guess I don't understand what you think they intended by that...? As for Sookie and Eric, I'm surprised their relationship is mirroring the book... I wonder if they plan to stick to the storyline when he finally regains his memory...? I'm so glad this season is so action-packed. With so many storylines it keeps us from having a boring placeholder episode like they've done in the past.

I really hope Jessica is okay. She is my favorite part of the show. I also agree...PLEASE get rid of Tara. I was hoping this season would see a change in her character but she still whines like the old days. And don't get me started on Tommy. I would have killed him long ago.

No, this ES doesn't feel like cheating. Eric and Sookie are slow burn and this coming together while he has amnesia is temporary, but necessary.
The curse will be broken, he most likely won't remember what happened or what he said and did...and we'll get plenty of angst between the two of them before they're together again. Eric fans are nothing if not patient.

I do agree with you that there are too many storylines: let's start trimming the fat: Tara gets killed during the witch war and so does Tommy Mickens.

I liked this episode and I like all the storylines! And NO its not cheating for sookie and eric. Bill became an asshole they broke up! You mentioned jessica not being in the books then you should also remember that eric lost his memory in the books and sookie and him became a couple that way.
Sorry, but this episode deserves 5 stars! And I wish people would stop complaining about so many storylines. I don't think your brains are that small to retain them...unless they are...lol

I swear to Christ if what I think happened to Jessica happened to Jessica. Those HBO execs are gonna need some saving from me.
I like the new Eric and I'm excited to see how Lafayette pans out This season. I'd like them to continue on with extra story for the witches
And if they're going to trim character why not start with Arlene, Terry, Tommy, and Tara. Jessica Hamby and Pam are my two favorite characters!
Awww..the Sookie and Eric moment while having sex (over and over again) reminded me of my much loved and missed, Buffy and Spike!..just much more tender...

Tonight's TB episode was fantastic! Eric & Sookie do the Karma Sutra! Ginger does her imitation of Debra Winger's bull-riding in Urban Cowboy!Debbie slipping into Wolf Pack madness (I think she's drinking too since she was stumbling around after the pack initiation). As Alcide said 'so much for rigorous honesty'.Looks like the 12 steps aren't working too well for her. And Alcide is shown to be as dumb as a rock. Can't he see the writing on the wall? And what will Lafayette do about the devil doll voodoo princess he is now seeing? This is getting REAL good!

I do not like Antonia. The lady scares me. But I feel that she has made a mistake messing with Sookie's men. Can't wait for Sookie to show her fairy super powers. As for Eric and Sookie, I don't feel cheated that Sookie is shagging what seems to be a slightly different Eric. The fact is his feeling for her are the same as they have always been. His regard for her is the same as it has always been. The only thing that's different is that she can see the gentle side of him now instead of the ruthless side of him. But the gentle side has always been there and that's the side Sookie has had feelings for before.
