OMG!!!!!! i love alek sooooooo much and i was so upset when chloe was like i think im in love with brian (stupid guy). i mean i was sad he died but at the same time i didnt like him anyway. but now brians dad is reallllllyyyyy gunna want to kill her. but technically its the grandmothers fault because if it went for her her, her grandson would still be alive. (that grandmother is an idiot, i hate her). and if she see's how much his grandson loves chloe shouldnt she be more understandable?!?!?! WE NEED THE SECOND SEASON! im dying to find out what happens next. like whats up with aleks brother?!?!??!?! I was thinking that maybe Alek and Chloe were brother and sister. It seems like they both came from the same area and were orphans. Hmm... I hope it's renewed so we can find out.

Do we know for a fact that Brian's mother is dead? Or is that just a story the order made up to manipulate Whitley into helping them?
Has The Order been infiltrated by rogue Mai posing as humans, or is The Order made up of a bunch of different "races" working to keep their existence unknown to Humans? Therefore, they want to get rid of The Uniter whom they fear will expose their existence to Humans.
The theory of Chloe's father rescuing her from a massacre that happened in the Ukrainian village where she was born based on Mai prophecy is brilliant. Especially if you consider it symbollically represents the biblical story of King Herod and the Massacre Of The Innocents. Ok, just started watching the show and I like it a lot. I am so intrigued as to who all these other non-human or demi-gods as Alek once described, are. Here is what I propose is going on:
1. We know that Alek's "brother" is Mai (kissed Jasmine didn't get sick/die and is related to Alek who is Mai)
2. I also believe that Simone (Woman who shot Chloe) is Mai as well (assuming since Mai hang out in prides and she is associated to Alek's brother...).
3. If Simone is following the orders of Mama Rezza it is probably because she is the leader of their Mai pack--which would mean that the Order is infiltrated by rogue Mai posing as human.
4. If Mama Rezza is Mai then Whitley Rezza must also be Mai and therefore his dead wife couldn't have been human (because Mai and humans don't mix--as we are told)--which mean's the deceased Mrs. Rezza is a demi-god as well (although I don't know what kind).
5. Brian is probably not dead, for two reasons: i) The guy at the club (1st episod

okay well firstly, i like alek's character more but i have to admit that chloe belongs with brian. No matter how annoying he is, he truly loved her. And, you have to admit that chloe had to restrain herself from being affectionate with brian, while she just always allowed alek to kiss her. I really enjoyed the finale except for the whole brother thing. I felt that was kind of cliche and soap oprah-ish. But most importantly:VVVVVPLEASE READ IF YOU WANT A SECOND SEASON.VVV

I'm not so sure about your Alec analysis and his being childish. This is a teen, who has been betrayed by parents who raised him from age 3, put his heart on the line in a way you can tell he usually doesnt, and had it stomped on by Chloe in the way only an indecisive teen who wants everyone to be her friend can, only a minute before. He didn't scream at her, he basically told her how it was and left, this is the actions that most of us would take. Why stay with someone who has made it clear they don't want you. He needed a minute to take a breath.
In the meantime, Brian,a college student, who is a fine actor with the worlds worst scripting, declairs his love for a 16 year old...lets review, college student...16 year old. From the previous episodes, he overshares, has no friends, can't seem to manage a basic Google search when given information, and has serious daddy issues. And when Chloe is obviously distracted in Reponsible, and he asks and she says "It's already been a day

I really pray there is a season 2 as we have so many questions now. And I really believe that Alek and Chloe belong together. She has just had so much happen and so much change over the last few months that she is confused and grabbing on to anything to keep her human. She doesn't really love Brian she is in love with the idea of Brian. True love grows slowly just like she and Alek's relationship and that is where she will find her true happiness. I can't wait for season 2 as this show is awesome and a keeper!!!

I think Brian is going to survive because he is half Mai. I think his mother was Mai and that is why she is dead/missing. Whether he comes back or not, I would rather see Chloe with Alec. I just like him more. I really enjoy his character. I though it was really cute when he went to Paul for advice about Chloe and I thought it was hysterical when he was laying on the floor next to Chloe's bed reading her diary.
I really hope that Jasmine is still alive. I really like her character as well.

I see a lot of comments where people are wondering about Alek and Chloe's ability to have a relationship after Chloe's perceived betrayal of Alek. They say Alek might not be able to get over it. That he might hold a grudge. That Alek's jealousy will have to be overcome before they can move on. He might be so hurt and angry that it will take a long time until things are okay between them once more.
These are all valid points. Yet the same could have been said for Brian when he stumbled upon Alek and Chloe kissing outside Chloe's house. Things were a bit awkward between the two over the next couple episodes but, Brian never ran away or allowed himself to wallow in self-pity and jealousy. Even when Mai-ish things were going on that he didn't understand and that Chloe couldn't explain, he never reacted with the kind of self-righteous, possessive anger that is apparent with Alek.

Powerful episode. The music, the tragedy, the questions answered, the questions unanswered, and the new questions raised.
I kinda feel bad about thinking Valentina was such a B--ch toward Jasmine early in the episode. To be honest, over the last couple episodes the real tragedy was Jasmine's story. She was finally happy out from under Valentina's smothering gaze. All the while being used by Zane. Then to see them both slowly dying, face-to-face on the floor, paralyzed as tears trickled from their eyes. Makes me shudder just thinking about it.
You know what else makes me shudder? Seeing just how ruthless some girls can be when it comes to matters of the heart. "I hope Brian's dead", "I hope Brian dies". "Hell hath no fury..." Indeed!!! LOL!

I hate how chloe keeps on playing both guys, she can't choose and now she ended up hurting Alek. CHLOE NEEDS TO REALIZE THAT ALEK IS THE ONE FOR HER, i am totally team alek and let me tell you, that part where brian was telling chloe that he loved her got to me. BUT STILL, ALEK AND CHLOE BELONG TOGETHER, does anyone else not see the chemistry between them? and how protective and sweet he is around her. I bet there will be something about people not dying if they are your true love and you kiss them when your mai. there will be something to bring brian back to life and i am awaiting that scene. I know that brian and clohe are a bit dull, but that's because we haven't been able to see them as a real couple... only awkward coversations. it was awkward for them to be together and not confess their feelings. therefor it was awkward for us

I think that Chloe And Alek need to be together has anyone noticed how he is absolutely in love with her. And I don't believe she loves Brian she let herself kiss him therefore allowing the kiss of deAth to be sealed. And she said she really likes alex and that's how love starts with a like hen it slowly moves to love and they all ready have a 1/2 to the love alex and Chloe will get there with alex comforting her.

I haven't read all the comments so excuse me if I say something that someone else has said, but, Brian has to be alive. I don't think chloe killed Xavier in the first episode, and, HELLOOO!!!!! PAUL KISSED CHLOE WHEN HE WAS YOUNGER AND DIDN'T DIE! And does anyone else remember when Paul and alek had that conversation at chloe's job, and alek mentioned that there was a total of 9 other superhuman races, including the mai and the jackyls ( I think I spelled that right). I think Brian as well as whitley, or brian's mom, might be one of these special races.Although jasmines character was very dull, I was sad that she possibly could have died, as well as valentina, and I hope they haven't died, because that leaves chloe in a very vulnerable position that could become very annoying in a 2nd season. And although I necessarily wasn't expecting the alek and zane relationship, I noticed that zane had a british accent he was trying to hide, so i knew there was something going on with him, making

Why does Brains grandmother have Chloe's dads booklet he made? Whats Alek going to believe thats this person is his brother AND he's just going to sit there and watch the ones that took him in die and what is he going to do to this so called heartless killer and what happened to him to make him want revenge on them? What is Brains dad thinking right now and is Chloe's mom next? Please have a season two and thank you.

The underlying premise of the series may not sound very serious and intriguing at first hand.. what? not another paranormal series with fantasy races and beings based on a Young Adult novel. But I have to say this series is handled with much class and very beautiful editing, music accompaniment etc, and the emotional content of the story serves to draw the viewer in despite what some people might view as overly less thoughtful and childish content. The first few episodes were slightly shaky but they quickly found their feet and the last epsiodes have been quite a joy to watch with the quality editing, soundtrack, plots etc. They have to renew the series after ending with such a cliffhanger. I love the lead actress, does such a great job with her character and really expresses all the myriad of complex emotions that her character is faced with.
