The Nine Lives of Chloe King Season Finale Review: Oh Mai God!

at . Comments

I just don't know where to begin, but this is a good place: Please, ABC Family, renew The Nine Lives of Chloe King. It will be a travesty if we don't find out what happens next.

Go Team Alek!

"Beautiful Day" showed just how quickly life can take a turn down avenues you've never even imagined. Starting with a fun-filled romp at the fair, the lives of not one, but five of the major characters went rapidly downhill.

Some things were done extremely well this week. Well, a lot of things actually. The music was perfect. From Brian wondering why Chloe couldn't open up to him to the scrore playing during the scenes when Jasmine and Chloe were fighting for their lives, the choices were perfect.

But I'm getting ahead of myself.

If you didn't come out of this with more questions than you've ever had before, you are far more astute than I am. Who are Brian's family? They obviously work with the Order, but in what capacity? Whitley Rezza's mother had the book that belonged to Chloe's dad. Can we assume she had him killed, and likewise her daughter-in-law, as well?

Whitley stopped communication for some reason and, because Simone is working with Grandma Rezza, it seems a likely possibility that she is at the heart of the family misfortune.

The grief at the loss of his wife must have turned Whitley into a bad man. We've seen the extent to which Simone, Grandma and Zane were willing to go to put an end to the Uniter and all of her protectors. Could Whitley possibly be in the dark as to the enormity of the situation? If he truly understood the danger posed to his son from the Uniter, would he be able to condone Brian's continued involvement with Chloe? I don't believe he is that bad of a father.

Something interesting happened in the Alek/Chloe/Brian triangle. Alek showed his vulnerability and had a childlike reaction to Chloe's talk with her mom. This made him seem weak. He was not the hero. On the other hand, Brian stopped fumbling the ball and laid his cards on the table with Chloe. As a result, he came off sounding like a man. A man in love.

Finally, looking back at everything that happened thus far, I could see why they took the slow route with Brian and Chloe. He really has shared things with her that he hasn't with anyone else. That is not only flattering, but speaks to his true nature and tugs at the heartstrings.

Alek's reaction left her unprotected by anyone but Brian, Amy and Paul. While they're faithful companions, they weren't skilled in kicking butt like the Mai. It was the first time Alek wasn't there. For anyone.

The tears streaming down Valentina's cheek as she awaited the return of Jasmine only to watch Zane try to take her life were painful. That they were matched by Jasmine when she hit the floor was gut wrenching. The smile on Zane's face as he carried out his mission was atrocious. Thinking of how a more mature Alek could have intervened in these situations is the most disturbing thought of all.

Of all the nights for Alek to zone out, it was the one in which he was needed the most. He returned to complete chaos and the reveal of his... brother? Who saw that coming?

Brian kept his word to Chloe, he didn't leave without knowing she was safe. But she wasn't safe. She was dead. Can anyone blame her for kissing Brian when she came back to life and he was professing his love for her? And don't clap your hands because he didn't earn his fate. I don't believe he is dead for good, though. Do you?

Alek doesn't deserve to be blamed for the outcome of the evening any more than Brian does. The circumstances fell into place with a precision that that would be painstaking to predict. And pain is what we got - in spades.

The juxtaposition from the opening to the closing scene was a total surprise. I can only hope that we are given an opportunity to see the wrongs from the finale righted at the start of a second season.

If they don't renew the show.... Well we will never know if jasmine, Valentina, Brian, AND even chloes mom survives!!! They have to keep it on!!! It's the best show ever!!

I really hope the show renews. To leave it the way it ended would be a great diaster! Just when you get interested then the station cancels the program. ******* not good!

Do jazmen and mom and Brian liv

Please renew the show I will like to c what
happens next with Chloe and her friends do jazmen her mom and brian please renew it's the Best supernatural show on abc family

Please renew The show I will like to no what happens next with

Please re

I'm just a Mom who happens to like the supernatural. Hooray for vampires, demi-gods, demons, warewolves cat-people etc. Real life can get mundane. So, when I saw the previews for Chloe King I read the book before the show started. I liked the book(minus the F bombs) and liked Brian who (BOOK SPOILER) ends up with Chloe in the end (and she can kiss him by the end of the book too) which was great, then. HOWEVER the TV series is BETTER than the book and I like ALEK way better in the TV series than Brian. I hope Chloe ends up with Alek. DON'T STAY WITH THE BOOK THIS TIME LET HER BE WITH ALEK!!!!! The TV character Alek is much more dynamic than in the book and multifaceted. Brian's cute, but there's much more chemistry with Alek. SEASON 2 SEASON 2!!!! Doesn't my vote count for more because I am "old"? This is/was by far your channel's best series.

Well, I don't really want Brian to . . . uh . . . 'come back.' but here's an idea: Maybe Chloe can transfer one of her lives to someone else. So if Brian dies (which he does/did) perhaps Chloe can take one of her lives and plant it into Briann. It'd be interesting but I'd still prefer Alek to get with Chloe. He's got more of a claim on her since he's loved her for YEARS. But since he thought she was human . . . the upless hill plummeted. Keep the show going or ABCF will forever be known as:
1. The Chloe Cancellors
2. Dog people
3. The TSTCK (The Show That Canceled Chloe King)
4. Cat Killers
5. Mai Murderers
6. (My personal favorite) The destroyers of Maithology. The Order won't ever be able to kill Chloe because ABCF would have already done the job!

TEAM ALEK! I mean, he's the entire package! The muscles+the features+ the accent=IN-SANE-LY H-O-T! Brian's okay, he's nice, charming and sweet but compared to Alek, he'd be no cuter than one of those hairless simese cats. But i mean no disrespect to him (well, kinda). And I agree with that girl . . . uh . . . I dunno who said it but she said it might be a test. That's a pretty good point. If their audience enlarged with protests to NOT cancel the show, it makes sense. OH and NEWS FLASH: most people begin to like a series LATER ON. of course the first season will get lower ratings than, say if it were on its third season, but still, that shouldn't make them cancel the show. So what? A few people dislike the show (or have never seen it), and that matters because . . . ? oh! that's right! It doesn't! for now at least! CONTINUE THE SHOW OR I DROP THE CHANNEL! Think of the fans you have ABCF directors instead of the ones you don't.

Okay, first of all, I love Alek! Brian just annoys me. Alek is confident and well he's freaken HOT! and if you read the book, Alek is there for Chloe WAY more than Brian is, He's even there for Chloe more in the show. At least he can relate to her better than Brian. Second of all, there are like 300,000 people protesting on the cansellation of Chloe King. Alot of people are saying that they won't watch ABCF anymore if they cut this show. I know I won't. So, I'm betting they'll keep the show on, i mean, they will if they don't wana LOSE most of their audience. And thirdly, has anyone considered the possibility that this might be a test? A test to see how people would react and to see if they would gain supporters of this show? Personally, I doubt that these people would be stupid enough to scratch it. And lastly:
ABC FAMILY S-U-C-K-S WITHOUT THIS SHOW! PEOPLE WILL CEASE TO WATCH THE CHANNEL SINCE (if they were to cancel this show) IT CAN'T BE RELIABLE TO CONTINUE A SERIES! If they lose this show, I hope they're prepared to lose alot of their audience.

The Nine Lives of Chloe King Season 1 Episode 10 Quotes

You laugh but I pack quite a punch!

Alek: I'm not cheating. It's natural talent.
Paul: You're using your Mai powers.
Alek: Yeah, which is 100% natural for me.
