for all those saying stefan and elena lack chemistry. WHAAAT? they are super cute together and i love their scenes. its just that damon and elena are more fun. im a DE shipper but just wanted to point that out. stop being disrespectful. its rude!!

Stace: I think the poster was talking about romantic (intense and passionate) chemistry is what stelena lacks. That might be one of the reasons there are so many more delena fans. Lol. Stefan and Elena won't set your tv on fire, Damon and elena do. That is why unlike the books, the tv show will end up with delena.

I started watching for Damon and Elena. I am sooooo interested in them, its a shame we've had to suffer through her and Stefan. I like Stefan, don't get me wrong but he and Elena are not made for tv. They have no chemistry, no chemistry means they won't end up together in the end. Loved the finale, Damon and Caroline as characters. I adore Caroline with Tyler but I hope neither dies. I have a feeling he will die, that will break my heart. I don't like Bonnie either but somehow I luv her n Jeremy. Really wanted Matt to die but oh well. Love Elijah, klau not so much. Can't wait for Damon/Elena getting closer, Stefan is so much better bad and of course the originals!!!!!

Damon, Caroline and Elijah alone were the best characters!!! Delena made it the highest A possible. I don't think I've ever wanted a couple endgame so bad. Stefan is so much better as the "ripper". Like Tyler and Caroline a lot too. Matt was my worst character and I can only stand Bonnie around Jeremy. I just hope TVD doesn't puss out and Stefan all goody goody again in show 2
Thinking back on it, the worst characters have to be Matt and Sheriff Forbes. Especially Sheriff Forbes, she is so terrible at her job that she shot and killed Jeremy.

There were not too many magic spells. Bonnie was great.

katherine is still the best part of tvd for me. damon always cracks me up but i love katherine SO much!! A+. no less!! just had to say that.

Best character: Agreed, Damon. Ian Somerhalder is an amazing actor, and Damon is a very complex/deep character. Unlike one bad boy from a certain show based on the Upper East Side New York...
Worst character: Katherine is funny! No, I will not condemn her. I'm going to say Jeremy. He was boring.
Best Episode: The final episode. It was a really neat way to end a season. It raised curiosity, but it isn't going to make us kill ourselves thinking about season 3.
Best storyline: The sun and the moon curse which turned out to be fake.
Hopes for 2011-2012: A permanent Damon and Elena relationship. I don't want the writers chickening out.
Overall Grade: A-. And no other show out there right now on the CW can get close to that grade. So there.

I can not wait to see the romance between Damon and elena,after such a long wait,it will be strange but beautiful.I hope that HELEN is always DAMON,must not only be a parentesi.Damon and elena could also have a son,now that he has the blood of klaus,Damon can procreare.ITALY loves them
It's really great to see Stefan's bad side next season. I think the writers will develop this storyline substantially, I hope. So much room for character growth. :D I think he learnt a couple of lessons this season, and to explore his character from a completely different angle will be refreshing. There are so many Damon shippers around. Show some love for Stefan man! He's bloody awesome for being such a cool and loving dude to Elena and everyone. Just because he's not the bad boy doesn't mean we can't love him. :D
As for Damon, he has quite a lot of character development over this 2 seasons. I wonder how the writers are going to proceed from here, but I sure hope it's in the right direction :D cos' I've seen wonderful characters become shallow repetitive ones. Damon better not go down that path :D
And Elena needs another edge to her rather than being all so willing to self-sacrifice and caring person all the time :D but I have to say she holds the show together.

alright, katherine, worst character? How about matt? Atleast katherine combined with the story. Matt was basically useless. And Alaric was basically a wall ornimemt until the second half of the season.
And I see how everyone says Damon carries the show, but he's become less appealing to me this season. Don't get me wrong, he's great, but he's losing what originally made him so damn attractive. Best storyline, have to agree with hybrid / original! I really hope Elijah will return, he really made the season for me. Now for stefan. I'm really excited for this new development for his character. I'm super excited for stefan to carry a storyline on his own. - don't get me wrong, I'm stelana all the way, but they've been together pretty much the entire two seasons, if they stayed together any longer, it would feel pushed/forced. Anyways, cheers for season 3

I thought Matt or the Sheriff were the worse characters of this season, not Katherine. Katherine was awesome she dominated the show until she kept getting trapped places.(The tomb then 2 episodes after she got out the apartment)

Of course Damon is the best character and the show deserves more than an lowly A-, more like A+ infinity. I have watched a lot of television and VD is by far the best. I've never seen a show where every character is likeable even if you just love to hate them. Katherine was not the worst character of season 2; Matt was practically useless until the end. For season 3, since Stefan is suppose to explore the darkside for a while, I hope they will explore the dark dimesnsion as a physical place as they did in the book. They could bring back Tyler's hot uncle Mason as Sage!! Taylor Kinney in long wavy bronze tresses, no shirt, and a falcon perched on muscular shoulders; Yum! Also, we learned in season 2 that Ms. Flowers is around and we know from the books that she's a witch. Maybe they will bring her in to help Bonnie exterminate that Klaus rodent.

Good wife is great, fully deserving an A. but if vampire diaries got an A+ for the first season, i completely agree with others that the second season was better and atleast deserved an A+.
On the other hand, please change the worst character to worst character storyline . Then i agree that the katherine/bonnie story line completely suck. Nina Dobrev is perfect, though.
For those who haven't watched the good wife, please do watch. it is the best legal drama ever on tv.
