I'm agreeing with Damon fans. Damon is a very important character.,us Vampire Diaries fans know this. We've been there for his ups and downs...through thick and thin. Losing Damon would be hard, and I will cry..but once a VD fan always a VD fan..

so yeah, t the producers.. after reading practicaly every person on this thread saying damon makes the show, killing him would be incredibly dumb, he's what gives the show its humor and suspense... i cant even begin to describe how bad it would be to kill him... its okay if your not afraid to make un popular choices, but in this case is it worth loosing most of the viewers?

i love this show, its excellent and so interesting but damon is such a valueable asset to it, that without damon i can't see myself watching it anymore. he's to big of a charcted to kill off so soon

There have been a lot of surprises this season. The writing on this show is fantastic. Love the characters and the storylines. With that being said, the talented writers are crazy to think that the fans of TVD are going to accept & continue to watch without Damon. He is delicious & a huge reason I watch. No Damon, then definitely no TVD for me. Love the idea from Lindsey about Elena's blood being Damon's cure. Definitely can see that. Anything bringing those two closer together, I'm all for. However, I thought maybe Elijah's blood would be the cure. Werewolf bite can't kill an Original, so that makes sense to me. Especially since those two aren't the best of friends. However the season ends, I do believe, most of the fans would love to see Elena & Damon together. There's magic between those two. Love TVD!!!!

I really love this show, but totally will not be as good if you guys kill off damon, come on do u want the ratings to plummett that bad that u would kill off our favorite person. I have lost so many of my fave shows because u guys do stupid things like that, then the ends up going off the air, because the ratings go way down. I AM TELLING U DO NOT LET DAMON OR ELANA DIE.

While I don't think they would kill off Damon, it would be crazy risky if they did! Personally I don't know if I'd be interested with out him. Damon is the reason I started watching TVD in the first place- I happened to be channel surfing and caught one of his scenes and was hooked. I went out the next day and bought season 1 and have been obsessed ever since. I believe the EP when she says she's not afraid to make unpopular choices, but I can't imagine that I would find it interesting without Damon. I think that just watching Stefan and Elena every week would be boring and a little too like twilight. They need the tension and drama that Damon brings to the show.
I think there will be some great scenes with Ian and Nina around him seeking forgiveness and her giving it to him. I sincerely believe that in the 11th hour Stefan and Bonnie will discover that the cure to a wolf bite is the blood of the doppleganger and Elena will save him and this will deepen their bond.

please don,t kill Damon he is the best part of the show without him it could become boring those eyes are breathtaking just love him to DEATH lol
I'm thinking elena is going to drink that elixer because if you remember they don't really know how its going to work. So she's going to drink it and die but it seems to not work and appears to be dead for good.. for season three to start back with her coming back right after they bury her. Because if damon goes I'm gone! He brings some humor to the show, because stefan is to uptight!
I just love this show...but come on Damon is what keeps everyonr on there toes. Just wondering what he's gonna do next. I love him, very dark and sexy. I can't say I would quit watching but it will be very wierd with out him.

Killing Damon, might be the requirement of the story, but Damon is the only character, who gives twist to the story...he adds spice and adventure....he perfectly depicts a vampire who are emotionless..Killing damon will definitely effect the publicity of the show as well as the story...
The ONLY way I'd keep watching to show (dedicatedly) is if Damon remains on it. That being said, I think it'd be epic if he died but then was somehow resurrected. THEN I'd really love TVD...
i hate to say it but if Damon dies, i predict that the vampire diaries fan base will be cut in half, and im afraid ill be one of them. he keeps the show interesting, it will be very weird if he does die. but im glad that elena doesnt want to become a vampire. thats something that will keep the show interesting as this will create new challenges to keep her alive.

I only have one thing to stay. I find it stupid how some people say that they will quit watching the show if Damon dies. People say that they love the show, and their true fans of the show. But if Damon dies, and you quit watching. You only loved the show because of Damon, and your not true fans of the show. (Not trying to say this in a mean way tho)
I won't watch anymore if Damon goes! The writers are stupid if they think the show will survive without him.

Okay, for one thing, I think J. PLec just said that to keep us guessing, I mean the she can't just say Damon won't die, even though we all know it. But then angel died on buffy right? So who knows..?
But what I'm thinking: Damon's ring, making so that he can't die by supernatural means, shouldn't that keep him alive? I mean a werewolf bite is definitely supernatural. That's just my thought..and the girl vampire who died, she didn't have a witchyring to save her. So the ring saving him could work.

Damon can't die. If he does, not only will it ruin the entire story of Vampire Diaries but it will also ruin the show altogether. The love triangle between Damon, Stefan, and Elena is not only one but pretty much the main story line. Taking him out will ruin the show and I'm pretty sure the author of the original series, L.J. Smith, will be pissed!! They won't kill him off because they will NEVER risk the shows popularity. Vampire Diaries is the CW's most popular show and killing off the main and most popular character will ruin it.
I dont see Damon Stephan Elena or Jeremy going anywhere. As for Carolyn Alaric Jenna Matt and the Sheriff, they are expendable. I hope Katherine dies and I hope Damon is the one to do it, maybe it would give him the closer he obviously needs. No way they will do off with any of the 3 primary roles.
