If they kill Damon, I'm done with the show. However, killing Stefan would be fine! :) I'm usually always right about these shows, but if Damon dies it will be the biggest disappointment of CW history. The show will be worth nothing and after a couple of seasons of trying to recover, it will finally die. Which is what it deserves if they kill Damon. Bad move Julie and Kevin! So sad....I had high hopes for this show.

I have to say I watch the series not only because of Damon! I love the show and the brilliant story! But if Damon dies, I will not look further! I would be very sad and shocked! But it would be the same when Stefan was going to die! It would be a too great loss for the show!
BTW: For me, the series has long been no more parallel with Twilight! The show is so much better!!!!!!!!!!

they soooo canno't kill damon!if he dies than vampire diaries won't be worth watching anymore!they will lose lots of viewers!!!that's for sure!i swear I will not watch vampire diaries again if damon dies!its effin bullshit!!

Oh for the love of God, you people are annoying. Damon is not going to die. Get it? HE IS NOT GOING TO DIE. The possibility is so slight that it's practically not even a possibility. So stop whining and threatening to quit watching the show, it's childish.

They would never kill damon. They would then loose a huge chunk of followers seeing that Ian is the hotter and infinitely more charismatic person when compared to Paul Wesley. So relax ppl. If they kill any main characters it would be Bonnie or Tyler or Even Jeremy. That I feel would have far reaching consequences when compared to Damon or Stefan whom TVD is based. I think the only time they would kill Damon is if Ian wanted to leave the show for something bigger. Its his biggest claim to fame and hardly anyone can remember him as Adam or something on Smallville. His role was very forgettable.
Has anyone read the latest L.J. Smith Vampire Diaries book, Midnight? I hate to spoil it for readers, but it seems Ms Smith couldn't bear to kill off Damon....so, I don't see how Ms. Plec could bear to kill off Damon either!

Having read everyone's comments I can't resist playing Devil's advocate. There is this voice in my head that keeps going, "do it; kill Damon".
Let's be real people,there's a 99.99% chance they won't do it. But how ballsy and courageous of them would it be if they did?
I take issue with the argument that without Damon, there is no VD. The show isn't about Damon Salvatore; he's an important main character, but he is NOT the show.
If they actually do kill off Damon, I won't stop watching because that would seriously up the ante of the show; the story lines they'd have to come up with in order to keep the show popular :D. I like the idea of a production team being willing to risk alienating the fan-base in order to tell their story, how they want to.
They probably won't kill Damon; but part of me would LOVE it if they did.

Majority of Vampire Diaries viewers watch it because of Damon. I am guilty of that if Damon dies I don't think I'll be watching I'll really be pissed not to see Damon. But I don't think they would kill him. Or if they do I'm sure they will find a way to bring him back.

well go ahead and kill Damon and watch what happens to this show.. vampire diaries will also get killed along with Damon..
I watch this show only for him..... and i think lots of other people are watching this show also ONLY because of him.... so if he is no longer there what is the point of wasting 1 hour of our life on this?

I have a theory of what they might end the season with. Damon will be suffering and he will seek Elena's forgiveness, and he dies in the last few scenes. But do you guys remember the Elixir? Well, there has to be a reason that they introduced it. So what I think is that after he dies, they will feed him the Elixir, but they end the season with that. The cliffhanger of the season would be: will Damon live or not?

there's NO way you can kill off damon! kill jenna. must say matt sort or redeemed himself when he shot maddox to save caroline. still prefer caroline/tyler as a couple. so if there's another shock death; matt, the sherrif or greta could totally me takers. Really love Elijah, he's the only one who really stands up against damon and puts him back in his place. I ADORE damon. Stefan can just get really annoying. Also the fact that elena doesn't want to become vampire was really interesting. Also yay for damon for saving caroline and Tyler. Jules can die. Just don't kill off my damon, jeremy, tyler or Caroline. They are my favourite characters. Look forward to the BOMBSHELLS that await no doubt. two days to go..

How can Ian Somerhalder die on tht season.. that will be impossible.. Ian Somerhalder makes all the twist in all episodes.. No one can replace him.. i hope the writer will not let him die but that's the finale for next season.. then it will be a emotional blackmail for all the fan of VD..

Damon, Elena and Stefan are the main characters of this show and well they are in the books too!!! So it is like cutting off one of your legs by killing Damon off!!!!!!
Damon: She's strong and crafty and you'll die. Elena: At least I'll die trying.
