OMG OMG OMG OMG. What a shocker. It never really made sense to me that it as an Aztec curse that originated in the Americas when the originals were from Europe. But it was never something i dwelled on. But now OMG. And Elijah was in love with Katherine. OMG. Klaus being a werevamp was the mother of all twists. I don't know how things could get much better. But knowing this show, it TOTALLY will.

What is the name of the song that Katherine was dancing to before Klaus came back to the apartment?

I believe I know why Damon was so upset by the word 'respect'. Do you all remember the episode during season 1, with the flasbacks? I think it was the lost girls episode.
In this episode, Damon deserted from battle, I believe, and his father was really disappointed with him. His father told him, he had no respect for Damon. And you could see how much that hurt him, even though he tried to hide it.
Stefan was obviously daddy's favorite. I think it was really, really mean from Stefan, to use this against Damon. Because I believe that the lack of love and respect from his father, made him become vulnerable to the influence of Katherine. And Katherine's games made him, well, that is history.

Stefan totally got to the point of Damon's hurting. And I totally hate him for that.

Does anyone else think that Damon is kind of like Klaus and Elijah is really similar to Stefan? Like Stefan and Elijah are the clear-headed ones and Klaus and Damon are the firey bad boys>

Stefan apologizes interesting. He also warns him that he will always protect Elena in the first place no matter what. This is the reason why Elijah says "I understand" .....So Elena believes Elijah, Damon doesn't and Stefan is on a maybe, but willing to work together as long as he believes Elijah protects Elena as well...

Why didn't Elijah tell Elena that he could protect her in the first place. His solutions seemed a way to perfect to believe imo.

I think STefan is tired of Damon's bahavior which is understandable. He wants Damon to respect her. Damon is always just doing what he wants and kind of obsessed with her. Stefan had tried to talk to her, respect her view of things, to call her if he had tought that she wasn't right like in crying wolf. I mean Elena had lied to all of her friends. In the descent she had claimed to be included into the deal. Stefan is treating her as a person and respecting. Damon on the other hand treats her like a puppet who has not the right to have her own ideas and follow them. Stefan is willing to follow, but with concern and looking out if Elijah is truthful and if not he would intervene.

Well in spite of it being a total Underworld (half vampire/half werewolf) rip off it was a pretty decent episode with us finding out about the first family of vamps. You also get to see more of what Katherine like before turning, which is strangely a lot like Elena, you know but more backstabbing. Wasn't surprised about Elijah being brothers with Clause.
