Having already renewed How I Met Your Mother for two years and extended The Big Bang Theory's run by three seasons, Survivor got the multi-season re-up this week.
TV's longest-running reality competition series will air its 23rd and 24th installments during 2011-12's TV season. Host Jeff Probst also signed a contract extension.
“Survivor is a program franchise that continues to stand the test of time,” said CBS executive Jennifer Bresnan in a statement Wednesday, summing up the decision.
“Each season delivers new faces, exotic places, the ultimate social experiment combined with game play, and one of the most engaged audiences on primetime.”
