Hawaii Five-O > Hawaii Five-O Review: "Na Me'e Laua Na Paio" > Comments Page 2
Wo Fat said not to dig as McGarett might not like what he finds. I believe Wo Fat is actually McGarrett's 1/2 brother.
I was sooooo looking forward to the new shows. What a let down. Why do writers take a successful storyline and group and screw it up. Harry's Law, here I come.
Francine, I'd watch Alex read the phone book, that man is so hot. Sadly he didn't lose his shirt once in this episode.
The product placement that got me was the sail that was being pulled up and it said "Hilton" on it in huge letters. I remember thinking "oh they must let the crew stay at the Hilton for the free advertising".
Overall it was a good episode,to me it's good looking people solving crimes while throwing amusing quips at each other. And this episode provided that. I also enjoyed seeing more of Chin/ Kono and less of Danny's annoyingly whiney family.
Not thrilled with the new girl, she's pretty mousy, both in looks and actions. I just hope McGarrett doesn't turn out to be a "man-ho" and hop in the sack with her.
Love Wo Fat, it was a great ending.
I have to agree with your review. Of course, I have a very hard time with this show anyway. I'm sorry but why is Hawaii 5-0 involved with EVERY crime on the island? That's stupid to me. The new character was boring and the actress - not very good. I've also got to say I'm not an Alex fan so his acting in this ep? Not good at all. Why does everything he does sound like he's reading the lines?
WOW! I don't think I've seen you be this negative about an episode before. Usually, I agree with you, but not this time. I actually like Jenna, backstory and all. Admittedly, it was a bit mundane and run of the mill, but I thought it was well played. I would like her to have a little more backbone when it comes to her dealings with McGarrett, he needs someone who is seen more as an equal, but I thought is was fine.
As for the product placement, I figure that is just part of the deal and tend to ignore it.
I did like the twist and turns in the "A" storyline. While I consider myself a geek, I have never been to a comic book convention, thought I, too thought the furries were out of place. Was I the only person less than happy when the "Captain Sisko" character asked if they had ever seen a brother on the Enterprise? Next Generation had African American males in leadership roles --Jordi LaForge and Worf.
What bugged me, was the fact that Wo Fat, a native Chinese, spoke English
