How I Met Your Mother

Katy Perry is about to join the illustrious group of big-name How I Met Your Mother guest stars. The singer will appear on the show later this spring.

The episode, titled "Oh Honey," features Katy as one of Ted's (Josh Radnor) love interests who also happens to be Zoey's (Jennifer Morrison) cousin.

Because of her naivete, the gang calls her "Honey."

"Katy is a tremendous talent and we are delighted to be able to work with her," says the CBS show's co-creator and executive producer Carter Bays.

After this week's all-time episode, which struck a very somber note for a sitcom, it sounds like this will mark a return to the show's absurdist roots.

Perry recently appeared as herself on a special puppet portion of The Simpsons, as well as on Sesame Street, where she was deemed too voluptuous.
