Matt Dillon Cast as Claire's Ex on Modern Family

Matt Dillon is joining TV's funniest family. For one week, at least.

According to Entertainment Weekly, the movie star will appear on a future episode of Modern Family. He'll portray an ex-boyfriend of Claire's...with a twist: when this character shows up, he'll be dating Claire's mother, DeDe.

Yes, this also means Shelly Long will reprise the hilarious role she created on last season's "The Incident." No air date has been set for this episode yet, but suffice it to say: we can't wait!
