TV Fanatic Take:

  • Yay for Big Love and True Blood nominations. The latter should win this category (but won't) for its over-the-top, entertaining second season.
  • The most glaring omissions in the acting categories are nothing new, but still worth mentioning: have Golden Globes reps ever seen Friday Night Lights? It's downright appalling that neither Connie Britton nor Kyle Chandler are nominated.
  • Entourage for best comedy?!? We'd have preferred to see Nurse Jackie, Parks and Recreation... or pretty much any other show on TV.
  • Sons of Anarchy did air on FX, right? We love House, but that show hasn't changed much over the last few years. Almost everyone involved with Sons of Anarchy deserved a nomination, but the series should undoubtedly be a Best Drama contender over Hugh Laurie and company.
