Kelly Hu to Guest Star on The Vampire Diaries
The Vampire Diaries doesn't return with new episodes until January 14.
But at least The CW hit is giving fans a lot of casting news to discuss in the meantime.
Last week, it was announced that Dexter star James Remar would appear on the show in the key role of Stefan and Damon's father, Giuseppe Salvatore.
Now, we can confirm - via the actress' own Twitter account - that Kelly Hu been cast in the possibly recurring role of Pearl.
Earlier this month, the network sent out a casting notice that described Pearl as:
Early 30's, Chinese, attractive. Seen in flashbacks, she is an apothecary for the town of Mystic Falls. Going door to door on sales visits she stops at the Salvatorre residence and meets Katherine. Unaware of what Katherine is, she tries to sell her vervain and quickly finds herself in danger.
Hu has guest-starred on a number of shows, including Army Wives, NCIS and NCIS: Los Angeles.

they need to bring her back character pearl back. I thought Kelly Hu made an awesome vampire. She was in control and every move well thought out and was nice to see someone who could push Damon around physically. I think she got cheated and she brought a certain maturity to the vampires.
