Ratings Report: Timeslot Switch Success
Matt Richenthal at .Change did Fox good last night.
Compared to last week, American Idol - airing an hour later at 9 p.m. - was up almost two million viewers (24.9 million, according to preliminary Nielsen numbers).
Similarly, Lie to Me, airing an hour earlier at 8 p.m., was up about one million from the week before.
Among other primetime pickings:
- Criminal Minds (14.1 million) was the most-watched scripted show on the evening.
- One of the final episodes of Life on Mars (4.6 million) barely beat out a rerun of Lost (4.2 million).
