I think MerDer has been stretched out for waayy too long now. SOMETHING needs to happen... either they'll stop fooling around and actually BREAK IT OFF (rather than be the exact same as before w more sex this time) or they can actually accept the fact that they can't be without eachother and get SERIOUS. I think they way Shonda Rhimes keeps everything so ambiguous is a complete cop-out... She knows the season has plenty more episodes so she's just wasting episodes that are completely about random one-show patients and situations [and NOT at all about the central characters' lives] and the actual storyline of the show really never goes anywhere. Think about it... since season 4 has started... can you name many differences? A couple of things have been made "official" and are "for sure" now compared to the ending of season 3.. but nothing drastic has happened!
george and izzie want eachother. Callie knows.
Burke and Cristina are definitely over.
Meredith and derek are STILL together

I used to love MerDer, but they have sort of lost their interest for me.
I love Gizzie and really want them to be together.

I love George and Izzie too and beyond furious that they did not even get a chance together. Those two just fit together so well. I never thought they fitted with anyone else. George and Callie was beyond awkward. And I loathed Alex and Izzie and never really bought into ehr and Denny.
But she and George, I believe in their love completely. If the show does not put them back together, it will break my heart.

ok let's just get this straight... Alex and Lexie are the best characters on greys, BUT NOT TOGETHER!
i love ava and alex and whoever said they like alex and lexie well thats just WRONG! and dont even get me started with the person who said they think somewhere deep down he likes lexie uh NO!
ava is taking up all that spot in his heart and theres no room for anyone else and certainly NOT lexie!
i always liked alex and izzie and was sad when they broke up and she chose denny... then i liked alex and addison and was kinda upset nothing really happened with them.... but then the finale came along and here i am sobbing as ava gives her speech and as he runs back to the hospital realizing he is good enough and he loves her and of course shes gone...

I'm so dissapointed with season 4. I hate the whole Gizzie thing, not because I don't think best friends can't be couples, it happens sometimes, but most of the time romance is one thing and friendship, even truly deep ones- is another. But of course, I like Callie and George together even if I thought it was crazy for them to marry the way they did. Derek and Meredith doesn't seem to 'get' one another, and I wonder sometimes if they should just give up and try to be happy with other people. It's just hard as a viewer to 'give up' on Meredith and Derek, since I've been rooting for them to make it since season one. Somehow all the characters seem at a loss this season, and I hope the show gets a boost soon, because this might be the beginning of the end for my favorite show.

Well, I really do not care much for Goerge and Izzie together. I liked him better with Callie.
I also hope that if this Writers Strike ever ends that they need to find a new love interest for Christina. She been though alot already with the whole Erica Hughn thing.
I also agree that Alex and Izzie together is not good. He seemed to be having something good going with Lexie.
I do no have much to say about Meridith and Mc Dreamy because I am a bit tired of the back and forth in there relationship.
I do really hope the Writers Strike comes to an end soon and that they come back better then ever

Well, I have got news for you, if Izzie has never loved Alex, I don't think those feelings will magically appear like that. He was sex to her and that is it. She never looked at him or smiled at him like she does George or had as strong a connection with him. She and George had a connection of from epi 4 of season 1, and it was always obvious to me they had more than friendship, they were way too jealous every time the other got with someone else, way too close, way too obsessed with each other. I remember convos Izzie had with Alex and Denny where she kept talking about George and that was way before they slept together.
She and George only realized it wouldn't work this time because of timing and I am sure the baggage that comes from having an affair. They didn't say it would never work or that the love isn't real, in fact they said the I love you even as they broke up.
I would hate it if Shonda chickened out and put Izzie with Alex, the shallow hot giil with hot boy winning ag

obviously almost evryone who posted comments are gizzie fans and all were upset about how episode 10 ended with gizzie finally realizing and admitted to each other that their relationship as a couple won't work or won't last...
personally, i was smiling and happy while watching their last scene... i was telling myself finally... at last...
gizzie should stay as just being bestfriends!
the izzie character needs break from any relationship right now...i'm an alex+izzie fan but right now with so much going on with alex (ava or lexie) i dont think it's a right idea to get them together... alex and izzie need a break from any romantic relationship with anybody else... and then, maybe, just maybe, in the near future maybe in season 5 they'll find that love for each other and will live happily ever after just like merder...
and, please, im always affected everytime people make bad comments about alex... he's not perfect so just back off... just because you happen to hate him doesn

haunting Immortal, I agree Gizzie have it all: the love, the friendship, the amazing chemistry. I think some people just get caught up in looks, which is a shame, especially since George is a cutie and an amazing kisser.
I would pick George over any guy any day, and he and Izzie are perfect.

What I do not get about all this George and Izzie hate is this....have NONE of you married your best friend? Because I did, and thats why George with Izzie makes perfect sense. Nothing is more amazing than marrying your best friend! Also the chemistry is there, the looks they give each other just speak volumes! I makes me all mushy! :P
I like Alex with Lexie, they make sense, but I think its ruined because of the Ava thing (BTW..I know everyone wants them together and I am sure I will be vilified for voicing this but, its kinda sick with her taking off from her hubby and BABY all the time to be having one night stands with Alex don't you think?) Maybe Alex can stop being a man-whore for a while and try being a little more the sensitive that he REALLY tries to hide. I hate the good guy hiding behind the jerk premise..its getting a bit old...
As for Mer/Der, I would love to see them together, but her emotional detachment might make it impossible, I wish it was something tha

I am a HUGE Gizzie fan too, and they are the number 1 reason I tune in every week. I think they are the cutest, sweetest, hottest couple on the show, nobody even comes close.
As for Alex and Izzie, YUCK! He belongs with Lexie.

Well Tess, seems like your friend didn't just leave because of Gizzie as she said she would come back when the stories were good again, which makes me think she didn't like anything about the show.
My friends are the opposite. Pretty much everyone I know whow atches, about 15 people, watch for Gizzie and they ALL left when they ended.
That was the one reason why they watched religiously every week.
I am still watching, but if Alex and Izzie ever reared its ugly, disgusting head again, I would quit for sure.
They were the worst couple I have ever seen in 16 years of watching TV, and they had zero chemistry to boot.
Thankfully, Shonda doesn't seem a big fan either so I doubt they will go there again. She dumped them really soon and terribly like they deserved.
At least Gizzie had an end full of I love yous and then we got this lovely dance with them totally lost in each other.
I tell you, when george and Izzie look at ecah other with so much love, it makes me swoon,

Ugh Alex and Izzie were the gross ones. I think all the Alex and Izzie fans want them together just because they find both of them hot. But two hot characters together don't necessaily mean a hot couple. Those two didn't love ecah other, or he did, but she surely didn't, she spent all her time with him talking about George and Denny, the two guys she has ever really LOVED. Katherine heigl herself said Izzie never loved Alex, he was her little sex toy.
The people who say they were believable, why? Their whole relationship consisted of one crappy date, Alex not being able to get it up then animalistic angry sex. Yeah, how romantic NOT. They made me want to poke my eyes out with a burning stick.
And who cares if Alex is honest? Some serial killers are honest too. It doesn't change that he is a smug creep.é When he failed his exam and pouted like a whiny boy, George helped him but he, he made fun of George for the same thing.
