go gizzie. i'm sorry, but i'm all for it especially the drama it will cause once its found out. ;-) not that i have anything against callie, its just one of those things that since season one i have been saying it was gonna happen...and now that george told izzie that he loves her too...i m dying to find out what is gonna happen...THE SUSPENSE IS KILLIN ME!

What happend to Izzies Daughter, I mean I cant believe they just dropped the story line on her like that... Izzie can save a deer but nothing is said about her daughter???
and I hope they dont try to cram too many new interns into the show and loose sight of the main characters, there was a lot of story lines that vanished and never got closed

Desperate4Answers - Izzie opened the door and George was standing there and he said, "I love you too." YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Show ended, fabulous previews came on - it's going to be so good. SERIOUSLY!

I think he chose her because she doesn't have kids or a family (really), and by process of elimination.
here's my reasoning (um, best guess) as to why certian people weren't picked...
Bailey- Obviously the best choice DUH! But I suspect he didn't pick her because of the family and new baby issues. Richard went thru heartbreak- losing Adel because of the demands of being cheif- and he cares enough for Baily enough to "protect' her from that. So he did it outta love??
Derek- With M's mom dying, and her dad being a total A-hole, M's would be all alone if it weren't for Derek. So maiking D cheif would take Derek away (that's what he thinsk would happen due to demands of being cheif) from M. I think Ricjard feels the need to care for M in some way b/c he feels responsible for M's mo

Ya'll need to CHILL about MerDer. Okay, Shonda really cares about her fans' opinions...meaning that she'll definitely bring them back together. I think right now all MerDer needs is time apart to date other people. I know they love each other and all that, but I don't think they're actually _ready_ for each other.

i don't know why everyone is surprised that merder is broken up at the beginning of this season. didn't you all see the season finale? when she looks down and says "its so over". at that point it didn't seem like she was talking about burktina anymore, esp. after the merder fight b4 the wedding.

meredith and derek have to move forward as a couple because the break up/get back together storyline has been milked for all it's worth. the meeting, addison, mcvet and finally the accident. that is why it's starting to feel anti-climatic and people are starting to get aggitated. the best thing the writers can do at this point is have them marry in secret and explore all of the comedic possibilities and serious ideas of being married doctors, having a home life, a baby and what that means for everyone else. the main reason greys anatomy was so successful to begin with was the mer/der chemistry. they are the "golden couple" the hope we all have for ourselves. but i'm afraid if the writers keep rehashing the same thing, over and over, the shine will just come off completely.

They are always going to break up and get back together, it's what they do! It wouldn't be interesting if they were always in love and happy- that's not the way Grey's Anatomy works! Eventually- near the end of the show all together they will be happy and together forever, but now- we need the drama!

i hate all these spoilers it was supposed that shonda was going to fix everything not make it worse meredith and derek breaking up? that doesnt make any sense to me and gets me angry callie as chief resident had me angry all summer and poor izzie i mean everyone seems to be against her why can the characters just have a little bit of hapiness after all theyve been through? i really hope season 4 will be better than what it seems i really really hope so
