Tonight: "Drowning On Dry Land"

Tonight, Grey's Anatomy returns for part two of the three-part drama that began with last week's thrilling "Walk On Water."

Tonight: "Drowning On Dry Land"
In tonight's "Drowning On Dry Land," the doctors frantically search for the missing Meredith - while pondering their own places in the universe.

Meanwhile, a desperate, frantic Izzie decides to take extreme measures to manage the situation she finds herself in. Cristina and Burke have a blow-up fight about their engagement announcement.

Oh, and there's also the rumor going around that one of the doctors will die, or find themselves on the brink of the great beyond in a harrowing near-death experience (both possibilities we address in our death watch).

Yikes! Guest starring Elizabeth Reaser (who we believe is the pregnant Jane Doe), this second of three episodes sounds like another edge-of-your-seat event. Here's ABC's preview of "Drowning On Dry Land" ...

Wow. We're nervous just watching that clip! As always, we'll have our official episode guide posted after the show, and start putting together a list of quotes, image gallery, and music guide. Check back with us often, and thanks as always for watching Grey's Anatomy right along side the Insider!

i thought it was a great episode except for one thing. the end where merideth realizes she "dead". like it was fine with the bomb squad guy because they went through kinda the same thing( she almost dided in the first big superbowl episode but he blew up instead as he carried the bomb off) but denny doesnt really have anything to do with it they should have just left him out of it. and i really hope its not a whole solve the problem in your dream before u can wake up cus thats been done way too many times. anyways on another note i dont really know if shes dead or alive we know this show to always have huge shocks so who knows. but i was thinking an interesting way to bring her back to life and still have someone die would have to do with her mom maybe becoming lucid and being able to perform an operation before her heart fails or something i dunno its a strech but who knows. well i cant wait to find out!

How the hell will this show go on if Meredith dies! I am still in shock. It was nice to see the real emotion in Derek and how much he is heart broken right now. Also, it always seems to take a crisis to bring everyone together. On a lighter note I am finally happy that the little girl found her mom. And all I have to say that the guy who knocked Meredith into the water better be greatful or there needs to be a scene where Derek kicks his ass! I know thats mean, but hey it is Hollywood and they are merely paid actors who get paid for their hard work and emotions to hook us in every Thursday night. Bravo to Grey's Anatomy for an awesome episode. So will the show change its name if Meredith dies? And what was with the previews and this whole "devestating conclusion? Meredith dieing is like thinking the person who looks the most guilty is the real murderer and then in the end you know you were wrong because that was the easiest answer.

Whoa! First things first... GREAT EPISODE! I am pretty sure one of two things will happen: 1) she lives and 2) she dies. I am pretty sure that number one is going to happen. Actually it is more of hoping. With that being said it is probably going to be Derek who saves her... again. Either in some indirect way (i.e. talking to her; kissing her, in that whole Snow White thing, which is foreshadowed in the first episode when he says he is her "knight in shining whatever.") The second, less desirable option is two. If she dies, then she will still be a part of the show in the whole narration. You know looking down on the happenings at our dear Seattle Grace. But it would be too cliche for Ms. Shonda Rhymes. So yup. The whole Burktina thing is probably not going to happen. Guess we will have to wait and see!

And, well, there you have it. She died. Unless, of course, she's having a near-death experience. I read that patients who've suffered from hypothermia (I heard Richard saying that's what was wrong with her, I think) sometimes go under cardiac arrest, then later recover. Apparently because their low temps prevents cellular damage, or something. They're not dead until they're warm, and Richard mentioned she was still cold, so, yeah. We'll see. But if she does die, it'll suck. There's still so much of her story left untold. (Although, I'd still like to see how everyone would react to a death among their own.) Plus, that scene with Denny and Dylan was TOTALLY cool. They could be the Ghosts of Seattle Washington's Hospital. Yeah, that would be cool. Kinda Twilight Zone-y.

This was the saddest episode yet! I cried through the entire thing! I think mer has to returnto the show wouldn't be worth watching anymore.... I also agree that burke and yang need to start doin some makin up..... this week is gonna go by so slow we have got to know!!!!! i also want to know what is up with george???? i heard he might leave.

They have to revive her, it is call Grey's Anatomy. Not necessarily. There have been a lot of shows where the main character died or was killed off for various reasons. Quite often to take the show in a whole new direction.

somebody answer my questions please!!!
I haven't wathced the show yet..and i dont really care about spoilers.. 1) what happened with BANG?? Anything Good?
2) what happened with Alex?
3) who is the little girl
4)who is the pregnant Jane Doe? Alex's sister?

she wont die, everyone knows that, this IS NOT the season finale or anything so they WONT kill the main character!

Grey's Anatomy Quotes

Did you say it? 'I love you. I don't ever want to live without you. You changed my life.' Did you say it? Make a plan. Set a goal. Work toward it, but every now and then, look around; Drink it in 'cause this is it. It might all be gone tomorrow."

Meredith (closing voiceover)

There's a reason I said I'd be happy alone. It wasn't 'cause I thought I'd be happy alone. It was because I thought if I loved someone and then it fell apart, I might not make it. It's easier to be alone, because what if you learn that you need love and you don't have it? What if you like it and lean on it? What if you shape your life around it and then it falls apart? Can you even survive that kind of pain? Losing love is like organ damage. It's like dying. The only difference is death ends. This? It could go on forever.
