i love this show
i feel so sorry for izzie because she is the only one that's really helping out and she has to do all that stuff to the guy underneath the car.
when the interns got out of the ambulance and saw the scene my heart dropped. it was such a heartbreaker when the pregnant woman was on the pallets in the water. so sad. ((tear tear))
and then karev went onto the pallets and tried to save her and then the search and rescue guy said it wasn't stable and i thought that he was gonna fall in the water. that would be so sad.
i love meredith - did i mention that? yeah, so i do and i can't believe she fell in the water ((tear tear))
fun times...can't wait til thursday next week!

Rosalia--thanks for the link identifying Elizabeth Reaser as a shrink who obviously hasn't been shown yet.
I suppose its possible that the pregnant lady could end up being someone linked to Alex's past--but I really felt they were trying to show Alex as having grown and matured, the way he was compassionate and wanted to help her. Like a really good doctor, instead of the jerk he was in the beginning!

I just read somewhere that since Alex's family and past hasn't been explored yet that the prego lady who was crushed could be related to Alex...anyone's thoughts on this?

But here is my theory I think since it say she is a Psychaiatrist that when Meredith is saved Derek of the Chief or whatever will make her see a shrink... Derek is her Knight and Shining whatever so that means he has to save her... I did have a stroke tho when she fell in Shonda knows how to keep us all hooked!!

WOW! this episode was the bomb! I screamed when Mer fell off into the water! that was crazy! That little girl was really creepy though, i dont think its Izzie's daughter, and this show is called GREY'S anatomy i dont think she is going any where, maybe Derrick will save her? I just cant wait 'til next week to watch it! WAAAA :(

No, she is not Sydney - Sydney has been on before, and Elizabeth Reaser is new. I was thinking the same thing, the pregnant lady... that would be interesting.
I don't think it was Izzie's daughter.. I hear they're casting that part for next year. I think that girl was just there to show that Meredith would be a good mom.

no it couldn't have been her daughter and technically in the grey's anatomy world two years have not passed. Shonda Rimes spoke about this a while back.

OMG OMG OMG!!!!! Cannot Believe what happened last night!
Rachel, i don't think that that girl could be izzie's daughter, b/c she told a patient in season 1 that she was 9 already, and that was 2 years ago... so there is no way that that girl could pass as an 11 yr. old.
But, also, you know meredith won't die! She IS the show! And i think she has a 6 yr contract at least! I think derek will be her nite in shining whatever too! I ABSOLUTELY LOVE HIM!!!! Luv the foreshadowing that they did too!

AHHHHH, i'm like no ah OMG. I think the girl is izzie's daughter!! but poor merideth. omg it's like the bomb episodes, it starts out with something little (george's dream of the interns in the shower.) and end with with the three or 4 of them in the shower cleaning merideth off. it's like fantecy then real life. omg then derek's going to save her LIKE IN THE BATH!!! it make sence!! This will be the longest 2 weeks ever!!!

People are saying on the abc website that the actor playing the pregnant woman is Olivia and her name is in the credits too. If that is actually her, she wasn't pregnant in the last episode...I'm a little confused. Maybe that is why she kept grabbing Alex's hand. Although, abc may have decided that they didnt want to higher any new extras

Everyone is going to be fine. There is no way in the entire world that Meredith is going to drown. Derek or someone will save her. The little girl went to get help.
Burke and Cristina are also fine. They are both stubborn and hard headed, but they also recognize that in each other. I think they like their little skirmishes. It is foreplay for them. I loved when they came in holding hands and looking so cute and happy. For the person who asked, it is just typical Bang. He is excited and proud of their engagement and wants to tell everyone. She wants him to wait until she has a chance to tell Meredith before telling anyone. But Meredith is preoccupied with her mother and snaps at Cristina when she tries to tell. She tries several times and then they are called away because of the emergency. There isn't room on the ambulance for Cristina, but Meredith goes so there is not time to tell her. This was so awesome and it was only the first of three. It is going to be a very long week. I felt the most sorry for Izzy. She's the only one trying to help a guy and his buddies are not helping any. I also love it when Alex shows his softer side. Him and Addison though who knows. I don't know why Cristina is having so much trouble telling everyone their engaged. But Burke bugs me when he punishes her like he does if she does something he does'nt like. Why in the world did they bring Sydney back she is so anoying. Geoge was acting really stupid with Callie and she talked to him like a child. He did better trying to find the woman's child. This is'nt the first time he made a promise he may not be able to keep. But what else could he really do actually if you were George would you do the same thing? I like the Chief's new color he look's better. I also did'nt know there was a run for Chief Resident. If Bailey does'nt get that I give up. So what do you think is wrong with Meredith? Also

I thought it was a great episode. Loved the Der/Mer moments. I think what will happen is….Remember, Derreck told Meredith that he was her "Knight and Shinning wahtever"when he kissed her before leaving for work. He will save her life and naturally be her "Knight and Shinning whatever"!!!!!! I love Patrick even more now just thinking about that! (ha) I think Der will be asking Mer to marry him soon, maybe not next week, but I think after all of this is said and done…they will realize exactly how much they love each other and will be the couple to get married in the end. They will marry on a Ferry Boat! Does anybody else see the future plans for Mer/Der that I see??

I am a BAG fan..i like Mer/Der as well..
1) what happened between Cristina and Burke in this episode...did they tell anyone about their engagement? I am guessing not right?
2) What did Alex say and how did he rise to occasion?
3) was Mark on set as well? Did he do anything heroic? or he just pretty much chickened out and took all the Glory..
4) Are the 4 attendings present at the scene of the accident?
