Memo to Tabloids: Let. It. Go.

by at . Comments

People. Can we please move on?

Proving that some publications are determined to bring others down and exacerbate tension at all costs, the cover of the newest Us Weekly (below) features our favorite cast members -- and centers around the infamous dispute that has been amicably resolved as of yesterday.

Number one, we will never know, word-for-word, what went on during the on-set disagreement earlier this month. Number two, Isaiah Washington took responsibility for his actions and received the full, public backing of creator Shonda Rhimes. Just drop it, already. It's over.

Last week saw T.R. Knight make a surprising, very personal announcement. Fans have been overwhelmingly supportive. Can't we all focus on this great program instead of letting needless Grey's Anatomy gossip and rumors drag on -- and drag everyone down?

its true they should really just get over it. it was just some silly fight, big deal. It's happened, it was settled, move on. Then again these are tabloids that will continue to annoy people about the incident. On the other hand has anybody noticed that it might just bring more people to watch the show? It was mentioned during the evening, morning news etc....i know like the whole world practically knows of Grey's but maybe those few that havent wathced might start watching it now.... just a thought...

Shonda may be behind him but it could probably well be that she doesn't have a choice. She has a hit show where Isaiah is one of main characters (well-loved as well) and she's not stupid to throw that away. That's why the apology just popped up recently...ABC needed the time to spin this. And they did spin it because when it started, it was just a no-nothing misunderstanding then it became more complicated when some of the slurs were leaked and especially when TR Knight came out. But if you want to just not make it an issue anymore, that's your prerogative.

Grey's Anatomy Quotes

Our lives are built on our mistakes as much as our successes.

Ellis

Vulnerability isn't the opposite of strength. It's a necessary part. You have to force yourselves to open up, to expose ourselves, to offer everything we have and just pray that it's good enough. Otherwise, we'll never succeed.
