The underlying theme of tonight's repeat, "Tell Me Sweet Little Lies" is... you guessed it. Surgery. Oh, and the truth. It's certainly in short supply with Meredith and Cristina, who lie to each other (and themselves) at length about their respective relationships.

A frazzled George, meanwhile, is given the task of discharging an elderly patient who refuses to leave SGH even though she's no longer sick... and who has taken quite a liking to him.

George also pleads with Meredith to abandon the dog... and to pay attention to him instead.

After re-taking his medical boards, Alex finally learns his fate, and tries to patch things up with Izzie. Miranda finally succumbs, 47 weeks later, to the demands of pregnancy and Richard (right) struggles to head off a possible strike by the hospital's nurses.
